@Stefanalmare bro, there is too much info and hackintosh is too sensitive. All the hardware details need to be considered. I have been following the thread, but I still do not know if the only option is to boot with IGFX? If that's the case, I am doomed as I do not have access to the display port of the mobo.

If there is any ⚙️ Fix: for the RX580, would be happy to implement.

Your comments well noted.

No, Polaris by itself cannot run Tahoe without black screen, glitches and KP. Let's hope next Betas will do!

I see you laugh. Stupid me taking you in consideration.

@Stefanalmare you misunderstood. I am laughing on myself. I have spend good amount of time, reinstalling, following through various forums. Wish some one had made it simple what you stated that Polaris is no go.

In fact I did read in this forum itself Polaris card had issues, but I did not know what Polaris meant, vaguely Raedon, but was not sure RX580 qualified.

No offense to you. You have saved me time and effort, till Beta 2 is released.

Here is my current EFI Folder in it's entirety working as described (One Fit for All).

So you've excluded IOSkywalkFamily kexts for Tahoe with the maxkernel (in the add section), but the original one is still blocked. Should there be a maxkernel in the blocked IOSkywalk? By my reckoning you're not loading any com.apple.iokit.IOSkywalkFamily kext at all. I'm an old man and get confused easily 😅image.thumb.png.a5d5ee76edfa8b4e6d1fa289db902ce7.png

Put at MaxKernel 24.99.99. and you'll have nothing touch at wifi level in Tahoe. In all my racks with Tahoe OS I kept the wifi settings the same like in Sequoia and I have no problem.

The screenshot was of eSaf's config. I was just curious as to why Tahoe is running with no skywalk family at all on his EFI.

For me, I'm getting a freeze in Tahoe from a second to a few minutes after it boots and stubbornly trying to fix it without help :)

I have got Tahoe working on my z97 gigabyte motherboard. RX 6600 GPU. though I did cheated a bit in that I used recovery on my other Tahoe hack to install on a ssd. then transfered

the EFI file I made in windows with oc simplify. to the ssd with OC Auxiliary tool. plugged into the Z97 mother board. and happy daysimage.png.4b553d15bfe21cfcd909bf69ae6139af.png

In fact, the doubt that came to me here ,  if it was the case to also set the maxkernel

But as confirmed by eSaf it also works just by setting the min kernel for com.apple.iokit.IOSkywalkFamily

I just uploaded the OCLP kexts with only the minkernel in the block and I can only reconfirm what eSaf has already confirmed

Even if everything works, I honestly have the doubt that the maxkernel should also be specified 😜

There are 2 ways:
1. Same like in Sequoia - I have installed in 7 machines and have no problems. And in my opinion, when OCLP will deal with wifi, this will be the configuration to keep.

2. Set MaxKernel to 24.99.99 and then wifi in Tahoe will rest vanilla. Also with no impact installing OS.

Can your HD530 hackintosh wakeup from S3 sleep without blank screen issue ?

If it's working perfectly can you share your OC's or Clover's config.plist for me as a reference to fix mine ?

In my Lenovo M900 & Acer X6650G Hackintoshs the following not working for their HD530.

Hello Anto65

I see you have a similar setup to mine Z370 & Intel CPU.

I have tried I think everything  but I cant get my Intel PC to boot into Tahoe. I am stuck in the dreaded Black Screen.

May I ask for your EFI so I can compare to mine. Thank you.

Hi my friend, good morning, I guess your Graphics Card is not compatible with Tahoe.. I had an RX 570 and far I can go was to boot in Tahoe with video but if I opened an app from apple like Safari it gets me Black Screen.

You still can boot with shift + R to boot in safe mode and from there you need to put your macOS Tahoe in Automatic login. In this way it will boot with video acceleration.

But is unstable.

The solution is to Buy a new Graphics Card, in my case I found that AMD Radeon RX 6600 8GB is the best option.

Regards,

Fernando.

Hello @all,

I am trying to install the macOS Tahoe beta version, but it always gets stuck at the UUID stage (please see the attached photo). I have used both MacPro7,1 and iMac20,2 SMBIOS, but the same error occurs with both.  Please let me know how to fix this error. Thank you very much!

My PC specs are: Dell Precision Tower 7910 | Dual Intel XEON E5-2699v4 | AMD Radeon RX6950XT | macOS Sequoia 15.5

Good afternoon my friend.

Yes I think the best long term solution is to replace the card with an RX 6600.  I do have one on my other AMD  PC. But I am sentimental with my RX 580 it has served me well over the years. PS I am looking at RX6600 prices 😂  I would still like to get into Tahoe desktop. I have reached out to Anto65 to see if he can help me boot into Tahoe. Cheers.👃

With some going this route leaves me asking the question, is Tahoe forcing people to purchase expensive Cards??!!

Considering this is the last macOS that will be available to Hackintosh, personally I don't think it is a good economical move.

The reasons I would support or encourage such a move are if your Card is now obsolete and not supported in Tahoe.

The other reason, to improve Game Graphics in Windows, other than those two reasons, it is a no, no for me.

Oh I forgot a third reason to get a fancy RX6600 Card........I have money to burn.

Don't be mad at me, every man steps to a different beat, just my 2 cents.

I agree with you 100% Better to save and buy an imac later on. But you know the immediate impulse is to get it work. After all I have another AMD PC working well on Tahoe. Damit 🍎 🥹

Hi, my efi are posted here for 0C

and here for Clover

I think they are of little use to you , if you are trying with the RX 580 that I see in the signature  , you have to wait for the compatibility to be restored with Beta2.
Alternatively, use only the integrated one until then

I even tried with just iGPU and still got a black screen followed by a reboot. I will try your EFI Wish me luck, and thank you.

Hello @macky1,

Thank you for your information.

I have fixed these errors and successfully installed macOS Tahoe without any problems. However, there is a boot loop issue when I restart the PC. It shows the error message "applekeystore client failed MACF" as seen in the attached picture. The system stops at this error and continuously reboots.

Do you guys have an idea how to fix this? Thanks!

Let me call out @Anto65 @deeveedee or anyone who might see this post maybe they can see what i'm not seeing. I have a question...just install tahoe on my skylake..but it randomly freeze and you have to restart it...also this is not Tahoe issue..even in ventura it behaves the same...what's the issue here folks?

Could you share your efi as I’m having no joy booting at all it panics every boot  regardless what I change or edit

22 saat önce, eSaF dedi ki:

Arkadaşlar bu config.plist'teki 'One fit All' EFI klasörünü bana veren ayardır.

Thanks to you I was able to boot the system without kernel panic. Wifi is still disabled because OCLP patch is still needed, god bless you :)
