Max.1974
Hello everyone, I would like to share my experience here. It brings efficiency and stability to OSX if we compile kexts and bootloaders. A noble colleague @Hnanoto developed a free and efficient tool to compile kexts, with the initial project of our super user @Mald0n I, for example, did not experience this problem, and now with the solution of vit9696 and slice things are even better. If you want to try it, there are explanatory videos, there are advanced repositories with useful tools, all with Apple's native development language. Kexts Compilator https://github.com/hnanoto/Hackintosh-and-beyond_script/releases/tag/2.0.1 Note: works in 15.4 too... 7 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360849-release-macos-sequoia-154/page/3/#findComment-2831397 Share on other sites
mnfesq
Installing VirtualSMC 1.3.6 had an even greater performance benefit on my Asus Chromebox 3-N7068U. PerfPowerServices was using up to 70% of CPU resources and CPU temp was about 65-75 degrees. After installing VirtualSMC 1.3.6, PerfPowerServices used only about 1-2% of CPU resources and CPU temp dropped to about 45-55 degrees. With that much decrease in CPU temp, fan speed dropped as did its db level. Yay! 8 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360849-release-macos-sequoia-154/page/3/#findComment-2831398 Share on other sites

Zevgoli
Hey, Has anyone upgraded to 15.4 with an Optiplex 9020 and intel 4600? I am currently running 15.3.1. cheers, Howard PS. No worries. I just went ahead and installed 15.4 after rolling back graphics and disabling bluetooth in Opencore. No issues. Max.1974
Hi guys, I'm still a bit amazed by some news, I came across Safari on both Ventura 13.7.5 and Sequoia 15.4, it's working on my Raptor Lake 13900k with the correct FackCPUID, the 4k movies from YouTube. I looked to find out if it would be on the Hackintosh, but I haven't read anything about it yet. Has anyone managed to achieve this good news? And I also normally open Netflix in Safari in high resolution and it runs very well. Because only with a T2 chip at least after 2018 would I be able to get 4k. Has anyone achieved this feat? On my Desktop I run a GA Aorus Rx 6900 XT with a GA Aorus Z790 Elite AX motherboard. 3 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360849-release-macos-sequoia-154/page/3/#findComment-2831454 Share on other sites
miliuco
@nmano Sorry, I haven't had this problem, so I don't know what the cause could be. Does it go to Recovery when the machine restarts during the installation process? Is this a clean install (erasing the volume before installing) or over an existing macOS system? 4 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360849-release-macos-sequoia-154/page/3/#findComment-2831459 Share on other sites

Max.1974
@Mano your config.plist have no one device properties add on it. And you have insert too much SSDTS not necessaries and your hibernate mode is none, could be NVRAM. Your CPUID Mask with Opencore is "right" with 55060A00, but I get better 4K resolutions and works Netflix, Prime Video and Youtube 4k with Safari with E5060700. Please post your EFI here. My signature have linked to my EFIs for my motherboards, and once of them is Z790 on GitHub. 4 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360849-release-macos-sequoia-154/page/3/#findComment-2831476 Share on other sites

Anto65
Hi Max , Why do you have PortLimit enabled since you have mapped ports 🤔 ? Is because on Opencore just works with "Enable". Like Clover is disable is check blue active, with Opencore only works my ports with "enable" but I think works for some reason better to me "enable". 😆 If I uncheck on Opencore, not works USB ports anymore, and I use SSDT RHUB hot patcher too. SSDT-xh_rps14.aml.zip GUPC edite with 0x03 for USB 3.0 I avoid use Opencore but I maintained working. 6 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360849-release-macos-sequoia-154/page/3/#findComment-2831479 Share on other sites

Anto65
@Max.1974Never had problems with OC (even if you always throw it there and exalt Clover , i use It to 😝) Whether I use the kext or the ssdt ... I don't understand you use both? Whether it's Clover or OC with the mapping on Ssdt having defined the drop of the ACPI table the problem does not exist, only those that you define are loaded It makes no sense to enable the port limit in fact you have more than 15 active ports (if not all) At this point you don't need either SSdt or Usbmap.kext ,leave Usbinjectall... the limit Is removed 🤣 5 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360849-release-macos-sequoia-154/page/3/#findComment-2831484 Share on other sites

Max.1974
@Anto65 No, my friend, I don't praise Clover. It's actually always been better, but it's been abandoned when it comes to config.plist. I just praise what's good. Just like OCAT has really improved a lot, it has to be used. In this case, I don't think I would understand right now, because maybe you don't have the same old 4TB WD Gold HDD that I have. It only works with SSDT and Kexts. Simple computers with Nvme and Sata are easy to install, even Grube or Refind will load. The problem is when you have a complex XHCI ports like the Z categories. Z790 doesn't work with HDD in Hack and I discovered on my own that yes, they work as long as this is there. UsbinjectAll is excellent for mapping, but it doesn't work for use with HDD. The same thing with Nvme and Sata SSDs, of course they work even without Kexts. But the discussion here would be very complex. I use Clover because our friend Maldon managed to fine-tune the configuration plist on all his EFIs and they turned out great. It's just a matter of practice, really, an old-fashioned thing. I'm tired of having to manually adjust key by key in the OC, and Clover doesn't have any of that, MinKernel MaxKernel, Quirks, etc... I just use kexts and patchers. I don't praise Clover at all, but OC is not better than it for me, it takes a long time to boot, there are a lot of adjustment keys and if at least the boot was the same as Clover I would think more about using it. I boot in 7 seconds for my hacks. Opencore at least 12 to 20 and that is essential for me. It automatically fixes errors and doesn't have to worry about ResetNvram and doesn't need to be updated every month. If I install the old versions, it still works. So, I don't want to offend you, but you don't know the USB port problems I had. I don't have them anymore thanks to these small adjustments. Opencore isn't better for me. It might be for you. But when it doesn't work with OCAT, that's it, just manually a few hundred keys and OC validator, I did that in Clover 3 years ago, not to mention the huge work of Maldon from Olarila, who helped a lot.
