New Intel processors compatibility with MacOS

I'm going to have to buy a number of components for a new computer soon.

 

It seems that there will not be new versions of MacOS for Intel-based computers, only for Apple Silicon, and that the last supported generation of Intel processors was the tenth.

 

Even so, I have seen examples in the signatures of some forum users of projects with motherboards with later generations of Intel processors, I suppose that there would not be any incompatibility problem with the processor, since those that were once installed in a Mac computer are already obsolete

You always may use FakeCPUID and got reliable result.

But IGPU will not work. You have to use discrete graphics card like AMD.

Lets say that the new Intel Core 9 will be much easier to work with than the W9-3475x I'm still struggling with.

Yes 6900XT is the last discrete GPU which is natively supported and 6950XT can be used if you spoof the 6900XT device ID.

It's interesting to see users experimenting with newer Intel processors in their projects, despite the shift in MacOS support towards Apple Silicon!

Back to the topic, @joserogo Intel Core Ultra works but you will need the MASTER version of OpenCore and Lilu with Arrow Lake detection and an ACPI patch which @vit9696 has posted in the Forum-Which-Shall-Not-Be-Named (and which he might want to republish here himself).

Surprised since I din't remember @vit9696 or @vandroiy2012 posting in the other forum but they are always very welcome and their posts have very good information.

Three and twenty posts so far, but quite important contributions (as one would expect…) about ACPI declarations, ProvideCpuInfo and power tables for Alder Lake: Look in the Z690 thread. I only found of the Intel Core 9 Ultra thread yesterday, when I could access the forum again.

 

Short take: It's getting more and more bumpty, but Hackintosh is still going with the latest Intel Core Ultra and Ryzen 9000 generations of processors. (Whether its worth building Hackintoshes with these over the previous generations, or whether it's worth building anew in the first place are other questions.)
