AlainTox714
I din't see any thread for : MacOSX_10.4.8DVD_AMD_SSE3-PPF2 so i post here. Great job myzar everything works fine, the boot process is now fast. I was able to install reboot and create my account without any problems or errors. Just two thing as i post before : - CharacterPalette is not working out bof the box - Quartz Composer crash as before. Congratulation for this new OSX_1048_AMD_SSE3-PPF2.iso. Sometimes people keeping a low profile works faster than others. If you need something i can do just tell me. AlainTox714
really sorry you want me to delete this tread? i din't think about : MacOSX_10.4.8DVD AMD SSE3 TEST 1 on piratebay! for me it was an old story, because there was : MacOSX_10.4.8DVD_AMD_SSE3_PPF1 and i was just looking for PPF2 somewhere. errandwolfe
How about we just convert this thread to issues that are still happening with 10.4.8. Did a clean install with PPF2 and the INTEGRATED Realtek 8139 card is still not working. This does not seem to be the case with a standard PCI version of the 8139. danielharker
Hey everyone, I'm having the same problem here. My integrated realtek network card still won't work. If anyone finds a method, please don't hesitate to message me. I've been spending countless hours on it! Siegfried
I'm having the same problem here. My integrated realtek network card still won't work. Can't you just copy the kext from the old PPF1 or original DVD and load it? errandwolfe
Can't you just copy the kext from the old PPF1 or original DVD and load it? Sure you could if that kext actually worked. The fact is none of the 10.4.8 kernel systems have been able to use an integrated 8139. myzar
the dvd is now using this kext http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...35380&st=20 That's why the pci ver works now, i dunno if you can modify that kext to make it compatible with on board Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/35507-macosx_1048dvd_amd_sse3-ppf2/#findComment-253472 Share on other sites

gotoh
myzar, this AMD DVD (+PPF2) could be renamed intel/AMD as far as I'm concerned. I just installed it flawlessly on Gigabyte 945GM mobo + P4D 820 and it's working perfect Only sound does not work so far, I did not spend much time on the Azalia patch yet so maybe it could work. Anything else is just perfect. It might also be nice to add NATIT auto installer to the OSinstall mpkg, instead of the TITAN/nvdanv40hal package since it seems pretty mature now... I just installed it via VMware, but I guess native install should be fine with -legacy boot argument... I tried to install first using JAS 10.4.8 SSE3 / Semthex DVD via VMware but either I had the iso corrupted, or it just did not work, so I tried AMD SSE3 DVD and it worked good Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/35507-macosx_1048dvd_amd_sse3-ppf2/#findComment-258177 Share on other sites
myzar
yes i know that it works on intel, semthex kernel handles both but i prefer to leave intel side to Jas because the iso isn't tweaked for intel chipsets and i don't have any intel board nor i want to support intel users Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/35507-macosx_1048dvd_amd_sse3-ppf2/#findComment-258312 Share on other sites
Kallis
Great job Myzar! Can you please make a pkg for this one too Gotoh, like you did last time? intrax
yes i know that it works on intel, semthex kernel handles both but i prefer to leave intel side to Jas because the iso isn't tweaked for intel chipsets and i don't have any intel board nor i want to support intel users Yes I worked for me too... let the Intel guys do their OWN thing... RTL8139 PCI working now but had to install earlier kext, AC97 Audio working now but had to install other kext, resolution switching on Radeon 9250 still not working... blah...in Callisto... I inserted semthex exp6 SSE2 kernel before installing and that kernel runs really ROCKSTEADY... Thanks guys !
