Especially if HFSPlus.efi is not the first entry in the list of drivers. Yes the Connect Drivers is enabled, the issue was with the installer somehow. I downloaded the installer via Software update and it's working.
makk
Hello how are things today? I have a fix also that can be worth a try. I do not use SSDT-EC-USBX.aml, SSDT-UIAC.aml, USBports.kext I use FakePCID_XHCIMux.kext from Rehabman does work. Hackintool verifies the ports on one side is 3 and the other is 2. The only patch is a hotpatch SSDT-4x0G2b.aml which defines EHO1 and EHO2 along with some other important aspects not related to USB. I get USB3 and 2 USB3 with 5gb USB2 with 480mbps Give it a try. Disable XHCI check and limits in configs. kind of borks the system. I found this Mux takes care of a lot issues. For those who want to save energy the way to go is to install the patches for those unknowns that are left over after you insert usb sticks into all ports on your system. it is good to do this every update and prior to it to prevent no USB. The USB Mux attached here brings power to USB ports as well. In my case when upgraded to new OS the power going to the ports was nill. After installed works like a charm. I tried the USBmap thing and it said, No need so it passes this port checker. It is good to have FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext.zip Edited April 30, 2021 by makk

djouija
Brightness control stopped working for me after upgrade to Big Sur (w/Clover) using any known previous method that DID work prior to Big Sur; Asus G771JM with Intel HD4600. Haven't been able to make it work since, unless I switch over to OpenCore, where brightness control DOES work but RESTART does not.

I had to change my PNLF device from the basic one used in Clover and some other PNLF patches to the SSDT-PNLF.aml offered by Dortania. That brought back both the brightness slider and brightness control.
