ChiefWiggum
Patch worked fine... Only App which is now buggered is Colloquy. In Colloguy, all the chat lines are overwriting each other. See attached screen shot.. Seems like some font or setting has been changed with this Apple update ? Does anybody else have this problem or has a fix ? mismamente
Hello, I have 10.4.8 from the JaS DVD reseed on my machine with intel proc, using the semtex kernel tha come on the DVD. errandwolfe
OK, I found out by myself :-)For those who are noobish as me: 1) boot with -s for single user mode 2) mount -u -o rw / (remount your boot partition into read/write mode) 3) unzip myzar's zip file (unzip secupd_patcher.zip) 4) chmod +x patcher 5) ./patcher secupd.txt And the best of all: it works and fixes my mess with the security update and finder is working again :-D Thanx alot myzar! Macdanger, thanks for the instructions, worked perfectly here. Though if I can let me make this suggestion to others. Unzip Myzar's patch before you reboot. This will make things much easier on you. ChiefWiggum
I get the same overwriting in Colloquy and in Safari. This problem is now sorted for me !!!. I installed the latest SSE2 semthex kernel (Beta exp5). And then installed the 2006-007 Patch + Myzar Patch. Colloquy is now fine and so is the dashboard (Was missing text earlier)

Rch
I'm on AMD and the update seems to have worked ok. Finder still runs fine it seems. I'm running 10.4.8 with the latest semthex kernel. However, when I tried to run this update on 10.4.8 with the older kernel (8.4.1?) that would not boot. As an aside, I've noticed that where on the old kernel I could only use SSE2 with my X2 3800, now with the new kernel the system detects SSE3. I completely retract that first statement, I got confused installing updates one by one, and it turns out I hadn't tried the update which included CoreServices in the list. But actually I don't think that was 2006-007..? Edited February 22, 2007 by Rch
