Hi, it did fix USB3, still had to mess around as your config does never boot on my systems. What tool did you use to undervolt Vega ? I like bios modding cards, as i did with Rx580 , sadly no such thing on Vega . Did not play any fullscreen game so cannot report on that. Would love to speed up boot times, but thats sure out of my league, outside some tuning of system services with https://gist.github.com/pwnsdx/d87b034c4c0210b988040ad2f85a68d3

use VgTab to modify powerplay tables and generate a kext or ssdt

[mods the BIOS values after its loaded so I guess technically not a BIOS mod ;) ]

fullscreen game issue may be CPU timer/sync issue, will test some things. May also help with the keyboard timer during FileVault 2 password entry screen

Xeon E5 v3 All Core Turbo and undervolt :

USB3 boot issue was a bad USB device

Compiled TSCAdjustRest.kext with Xcode 11.3.1

Edit the TSCAdjustRest.kext/Content/Info.plist
Change the IOCPUNumber value to CPU # of threads - 1

ex. E5-2678 v3 => 12 cores, 24 threads -> IOCPUNumber = 23

This seems to have fixed USB3 startup issues, micro stutter, and more.. will know for sure after a few days

Thanks for the tip @WhenMusicAttacks

Here's compiled TSCAdjustRest and VoodooTSCSync.

2020-02-01 using  Xcode 11.3.1 Build version 11C504

If TSCAdjustRest doesn't work well, try VoodooTSCSync.

Hi! I have a huanan x99 motherboard and an e5 2678v3 processor.  I can’t turn on speedstep and turboboost according to this instruction.  And the script for creating ssdt does not recognize this processor “unknown processor”.. help is good for me (

with the patch xcpm_bootstrap my system does not boot. Hangs on FinalizeBootstruct, RandomSeed. I enter information in SMBIOS - memory slot. But this does not solve the problem .. When I turn off this patch, the system boots up, but as before I do not have speedstep and turboboost. But, with NullCpu kext only speedstep  worked.. plz help!  Mojave 10.14.6

Hi,

I'm trying to understand which motherboard you used.

YOu say: "SZMZ X99-8D3".

I couldn't find a specific model. Would a Huananzhi board like this one work?

Thanks.

This is the board:

Havent used the Huanan X99 board and don't have one to test. Since you got the board running you are almost there, try removing NullCpu and create a SSDT.

Best way to get help:

1) search first,

2) if nothing similar, make a new thread with full system specs and config files.

This way others with the same board can help you and others can find and benefit too.

Thanks for your reply. That's the Jingsha board but there's an identical board sold by Kllisre:

I was able to run this board. I'm really happy about it. Just sleep doesn't work at all. Turbo is unlocked.

Any advice?

Congrats! Sleep depends on sleep state hardware support, BIOS support and then proper config.

People seem to have better luck with OpenCore. Like most things hackintosh, trial and error.

Hi, I'm trying to instal macOS Mojave.

My PC: GPU - AMD RX580 Pulse 4GB
CPU - Intel Xeon e5 2620v3 [6c/12t] (TurboBoost 3.2GHz)
Motherboard - LGA2011v3 Kllisre X99Z v102(bios - huananzhi x99-TF)
RAM - DDR4 Kllisre 2400MHz(1866MHz) Dual Chanel

When I try to install, I get an error "Failed to start CPU 02, rebooting... CPU halted" and "bsd process name corresponding to current thread

This is solved by argument: cpus=1

But after that I have the next eror: "PCI configuration begin". Any arguments doesnt work.

Hi,

I'm trying to boot an existing High Sierra system on my new JINGSHA X99 D8 motherboard with an E5 2678 v3 using Open Core with no succes for the moment. I'm stuck on IOCConsoleUsers.

I'm wonder if I can boot with your Mojave EFI using Clover this time ? Are the patches specific to each macos ?

It should mostly work. A few changes to patches for CPU. Look at High Sierra build patches.

Hi @e97, how is the coreboot porting proceding? Is it doable?

Doable!

Requires binaries

coreboot is available on MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 https://docs.dasharo.com/variants/msi_z690/overview/

combined with MaLd0n Hackintosh build:

https://www.olarila.com/topic/21368-vanilla-hackintosh-alder-lake-z690-with-i9-12900k-and-amd-radeon-rx-6600-full-dsdt-patched-opencore-bootloader/

It is the ideal next hackintosh project
