  1. Thanks Slice, that makes sense - the development is trending towards more modular and focused. Simply and elegant like the unix tools model, cool I checked the Plugin folder in FakeSMC.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ and the only things I see are : ACPISensors.kext CPUSensors.kext GPUSensors.kext LPCSensors.kext How can I check for other plugins or legacy iokit personalities? I diffed the Info.plist from the working and the latest r152: The major things I notice are : Added 'ACID', @Slice says its cosmetic Intel 82574L [ edit: the driver mods are likely causing the errors ] [edit2: removed the Driver parameter mods, eth is much more responsive when loaded but still seeing this flooded in console: kernel[0]: 0x<ptr>, 0x<ptr> Intel82574L::outputStart - NoResources from txFrame - pkt tossed Will try to extract the modifications and see if I can get r152 working and a SSDT for 82574L provided by @korlione2009
  2. I attempted to boot with the linked HWSensors 3, however my system would not post, gets stuck at Bluetooth not found -- I have reverted to the FakeSMC from June 2015. How do I find my current version of FakeSMC? edit: I checked the working FakeSMC plist and it looks to be 6.14.1364 Is there a newer version of FakeSMC that would provide better stability / fix my 82574L issues? Should I be using HWSensors 3 or HWSensors (v6)??

    Intel 82574L

Got the PCI-E locations from IOReg: my ACPI/origin/dsdt.aml doesnt have a DTGP key.. edit: nvm this is added by a Clover Config option or can be manually added, would still prefer DSDT Need to figure out how to convert DSDT -> SSDT.

    @Pavo I'm trying to create the SSDT and running into the following errors when trying to compile: *update* made some progress 75, 4064, Object does not exist (DTGP) Here my SSDT DefinitionBlock ("", "SSDT", 1, "Pavo", "eth82574l", 0x? ) // not sure how to find this address // value from gfx hdmi audio ssdt: 0x00003000 { Device (\_SB.PCI0.PEX0.ETH0) // pretty sure I'm on the wrong device path { Name (_ADR, Zero) // _ADR: Address Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) // _DSM: Device-Specific Method { If (LEqual (Arg2, Zero)) { Return (Buffer (One) { 0x03 }) } Store (Package (0x14) { "AAPL,slot-name", "Built In", "model", Buffer (0x0D) { "Intel 82574L" }, "built-in", Buffer (One) { 0x00 }, "device-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0xF6, 0x10, 0x00, 0x00 }, "vendor-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x86, 0x80, 0x00, 0x00 }, "subsystem-vendor-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }, "subsystem-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }, "device_type", Buffer (0x09) { "ethernet" }, "location", Buffer (0x02) { "1" }, "name", Buffer (0x09) { "ethernet" } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } } }

    Intel 82574L

Hi @Pavo, Thanks for this info! My motherboard has 4 Intel 82574L NICs, DPCIManager screenshot: Do I need a SSDT for each interface? When the Intel 82754L Ethernet is heavily loaded (~10k packets/s) [OS X 10.11.6] I'm seeing this flood the console. kernel[0]: 0x<ptr>, 0x<ptr> Intel82574L::outputStart - NoResources from txFrame - pkt tossed kernel[0]: 0x<ptr>, 0x<ptr> Intel82574L::outputStart - NoResources from txFrame - pkt tossed kernel[0]: 0x<ptr>, 0x<ptr> Intel82574L::outputStart - NoResources from txFrame - pkt tossed Hoping this will fix the issue. Will report back after giving this a try.
  6. hello. Can you please share instructions and files to get OSX working on a dual 2011 setup? you included a link to sixflow but it's not loading anymore. Thanks

    [HOWTO] ACPI access for monitoring

Thanks @Slice ! The version of FakeSMC I'm using is pretty old, I will try the latest ones with additional plug-ins. I see the ITE87xx here https://github.com/kozlek/HWSensors/tree/master/SuperIOSensors, but the latest binary at http://hwsensors.com/releases doesn't have SuperIOSensors.kext - is it built into the latest FakeSMC.kext or do I need to manually compile?

    [HOWTO] ACPI access for monitoring

Heya @Slice posted DSDT above. Got any advice on what to look for?

    [HOWTO] ACPI access for monitoring

Thanks for taking a look. Here is the DSDT (zipped) and DumpLog.txt DSDT.aml.zip DumpLog.txt I checked AID64 in Windows 10 to get config info and testing HW when first building my HackPro and everything appeared to be working properly so the sensors are there. I can get AIDA64 screenshots from Ubuntu if necessary,

    [HOWTO] ACPI access for monitoring

Hi @Slice! @RehabMan said "Sounds like your configuration for ACPISensors/HwMonitor is not correct." so I think making a DSDT might fix my CPU and GPU fan issue The CPU fans start off low and spin up every once in a while, not sure why. After some time, they get stuck on full speed. Here's screenshots of: HWSensors: Macs Fan Control: I pulled the original DSDT from Clover and searched for "FAN", "Thermal", "OperatingRegion", but didn't find anything. I did find some values: Name (TMF1, Zero) Name (TMF2, Zero) Name (TMF3, Zero) perhaps they are related to the fan? I'm looking to make CPU0 and CPU1 and GPU fan speed show properly and allow the system to control them.
  11. Having the same issue with 10.11.6 - this solution did not work for me. The only thing that seems to work so far is a reboot. Re-registering the widgets http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/274771/missing-notification-center-widgets Then searching for "TODAY" and opening the preferences pane in "System Preferences" seems to have reset and fixed the issue.

    HDMI 2.0 for 4k 60hz?

I went through this same problem and the IOkit patch didnt work. What happened was I got a Displayport 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 (3840x2160@60) Active Adapter. Eventually I got rid of the whole setup and got a monitor and used DisplayPort 1.2 natively - much better experience and clarity in visuals.
  13. Try entering all 0s for the phone number, I think thats what I did. That was when I was using the built in VGA.. using a GTX 970 at the moment
  14. I use the translate feature of Google Chrome to create and post comments, however it seems on that forum, you need to "contribute" something otherwise the post is rejected. For better performance, you need to have the SSDT file generated for your CPUs using pikeRalpha's ssdtgen script and make sure its then placed in the patched SSDT Clover directory. Read these two threads: ------------------ Tyan S7050GM4NR , e5 2670 x2 Hackintosh system build 및 El Capitan installation Translated instructions for ssdtPRGen.sh 4-1 Speedstep If you are using a downloaded ssdtPRGen.sh of Pike Ralpha. Download from here https://github.com/Piker-Alpha/ssdtPRGen.shViewer(use master branch) Open a terminal and go to the directory and run the following ssdtPRGen.sh using the CPU information. sudo ./ssdtPRGen.sh -c 1 -w 3 -turbo <YOUR TURBO SPEED> You can use the generated ssdt.aml.
  15. I have a GTX 970 working with Clover on 10.11.5. After booting with nv_disable=1, install nVIDIA Web drivers for your version of OS X. Upon rebooting you will have a black screen. I think the kext cache or something similar needs to be rebuilt - what I do is, I boot clover from a USB drive and remove a non-critical kext, boot, make sure graphics is working add the kext back and then reboot. Ideally, there is a command to force a rebuild of the kext caches but this works for now. Boot into single user mode: To fix an unbootable system via Terminal: ## check the filesystem 1. fsck -fy ## mount root partition as read-writeable 2. mount -uw / ## rebuild kernel cache 3. touch /System/Library/Extensions && kextcache -u / 4. reboot
