I really can’t comment there pal, that’s a mess in my eyes and I would start with a fresh efi.

OC Quirks and OpenRuntime plus the extra plist it how I’m doing all of that.

and updating clover you shouldn’t update any drivers or kexts only the bootloader itself,

Could you please also explain about your config of OC. There you got NVRAM -> WriteFlash NO, but the open core guide suggest set it to YES, but no real explanation what it actually for and when to and when to not use it?

Set it too yes if you want.

i find on 0.5.7 it works better set to no

 

remember a guide is a guide, that doesn’t mean that every system is the same because if they were then I would call my thread the gigabyte z390 thread and wouldn't have one for the pro and the master. You understand what I mean by that buddy?

Hi,

I have a BCM943602CS WIFI and blueTooth card and it's recognised but WIFI and BT are not working at all. 

Hardware:

9900k

Aorus pro

Radeon VII

BCM943602CS

 

I use clover and the latest EFI from AudioGod.

 

I could imagine that it's a hardware problem. The card was sold used on eBay coming from a MacBook Retina 13" from 2013.

 

Any suggestions?

I use the same card myself and it’s always worked from out of the box.

could be the pcie adapter or could be the card itself.

make sure it’s not the slot it’s connected too.
The best pcie slot to put it into is the lowest pcie x1 or the pcie x8 at the very bottom.

Installed windows without Catalina drive, both system works, but I can not boot into windows from Startup Disk utility, it rebots, but catalina boots instead. The only way i can boot windows it is by selecting the drive in F12 menu, same goes back when i reboot from windows. Is there any way to make it work like on real macs via Startup Disk? And is it possible even to install boot camp drivers etc on windows not on real mac? For example my magic mouse 2 works, but no scroll. And no option to boot back to mac os. Thanks in advance!

Have you legacy installed windows and not Uefi installed it by any chance?

Are you using my bios settings exactly as laid out on page one?

I only have the PCI x1 on the top and second from bottom free. I tried both. tomorrow I try to swap the card with the one I have in my MacBook retina 15 from 2014. lets see if something changes.

Ya start again,

ive listed all the correct bios settings for you so dial them in and then clean install windows over again and make sure you delete all the partitions created on the windows ssd before you continue to install or the problem wont go away.

I have to many PCIe devices you mean. I have a RAID controller from HighPiont and a Blackmagic mini Monitor 4k.

So what do you suggest? Oh and I Have also the second USB 2.0 Header connected to my case.

and the M.2 SSD also take lanes away, right?

Look at the manual and layout diagrams and work out what's sharing lanes with what and try and space it all correctly, sata ports shut for certain nvme slots, pcie slots share with each other and cut lanes depending on what's hooked where.

unfortunately my brain can't store that much info to just be able to free flow and tell you exactly where it all belongs so you need to work that one out with a nice cup of tea and the manual...lol

I always double check the Clover installer. It always seems to want to install stuff you don’t need. You certainly don’t need FSInject for example. It constantly adds back at the the 10.2, 10.3, etc folders for example.

 

All I have its:

OpenRuntime.efi
OcQuirks.plist
OcQuirks.efi
HFSPlus.efi
ApfsDriverLoader.efi

 

and

 

WhateverGreen.kext
VirtualSMC.kext
SMCSuperIO.kext
SMCProcessor.kext
RadeonBoost.kext
Lilu.kext
IntelMausi.kext
AppleALC.kext

 

BTW, I updated to 5115 and have no issues.

Reinstalled, and it is same as before. I checked windows system info it says there Bios: UEFI. Tried to boot into windows from mac os Startup Disk utility - system rebooted again into macos, but the hackintool shows(and wants to mount) EFI partition on the disk where is actually windows is. Looks like it should load windows but loading mac os for some reason   Any ideas?

That is correct, resetting the nvram will reset the default boot drive.

totally normal and happens to everybody because guess where that information is held? That’s right it’s in the nvram....hehe

control and enter At the bootpicker defaults the drive.

 

can you select windows from the bootpicker and boot into it?

 

Go into your config.plist and make the following change, restart and try again

PlatformInfo/Generic/AdviseWindows=Yes

I finally was able to get my hands on a TB2 to FW adapter and was able to confirm @dsynos80's method works; at least it works with FW400 devices using a long chain of adapters (TB3 -> TB2 -> FW800 -> FW400). Thank you for posting the SSDT patch and guide!

 

Tested working:

 

1. Ancient Mac Book Pro in target disc mode (FW400 port)

2. Epson Perfection V700 Photo scanner (FW400 port)

3. Hot plugging

 

Not Working:

 

1. Less ancient Mac Book Pro in target disc mode (TB1 port). It seems that the Titan Ridge card is not fully backward compatible with TB1 devices.

So I did several tests. I changed the card with the one of my MacBook. Same result and the card form the adapter is working normally in my MacBook. I unplugged all PCIe card other the the Radeon VII. Still same result. I think the problem might be the adaptor...

Set AdviseWindows=YES, rebooted same thing again. I cant see windows in bootpicker, also when i choose windows from Startup disk utility, when opencore loads it show some kind of error in top left corner OCB failed to load default boot device or disk something like that

Im all out of ideas buddy, It should be working fine. Nobody’s ever had a problem like this with OpenCore and my EFI.

Somethings not right that’s for sure and it’s something to do with your setup against my EFI but what I just can’t work it out.

Ive not given up on you though I’m just deep in thought about it. 
I can’t reproduce your problem over here and I have tried.
