Temporary solution: if you need graphics on Catalina, downgrade back to 10.15.3. Everything works as it used to. Hopefully someone can fix the issue with 10.15.4 in the future. perhaps we jus have to wait for a clover patch, doesnt look like 10.15.4 is fully supported yet.

you need to get the installer from another source because that installer needs to have internet active to do it and run the command {sudo ntpdate -u time.apple.com} (You can try checking the time in the terminal and changing it if necessary)

What you need is a full body Catalina installer in the USB. Follow my guide here: https://myopencore.wordpress.com/2020/03/21/fullinstaller/

Enjoy, and drop a comment.

Has anyone OpenCore'ed this Surface Pro 2017? Would be interested to see the config.

UPDATE! I have successfully (partly; haven't finished the full installation) OpenCore'd this machine (Surface Pro 2017 (i5 7300U, ALC298, Intel HD 620) with OpenCore 0.5.6 and Catalina 10.15.4--I have reached the Recovery/MacOS Utiliies stage ( but I am debating whether want to potentially mess up what's well working now (with Clover & Catalina 10.15.3) with continuing this OpenCOre 0.5.6 with Catalina 10.15.4 project.)

Here's the EFI: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ef53e94scyhqfrq/surfacepro2017.zip?dl=0

Report  back if you have a full installation, ok? Enjoy.

ok no me funciona después del modo de pantalla negra -V: s

Ohhh man, You need to preare the Bios, do the following...

1-You have to enter the BIOS, when turning on the surface with the volume button + pressed to access the BIOS.

2- then we go to "Security" - "Secure boot" - "Change configuration" and set "None" We also disable Trusted Platform Module (TPM).

Once we do this, Surface will allow us to start any other operating system. It will appear when we start it with a red stripe with a padlock (good sign)

You must enter "Graphics Injector" and change the values of "Platform-id: by 12345678 after the system loads rebuild the cache then restart and then again You must enter" Graphics Injector "and change the values of" Platform-id: by 0x59260002

hello do you have any info on opencore for the surface pro 5 with i5 processors?

Here is my clover folder; use it to install mac os and boot from it. Whenever you try to install, change graphics configuration in clover to 0x12345678. When installation is finished, boot once more with 0x12345678 and follow this guide https://www.travelertechie.com/2019/02/how-to-rebuild-cache-and-repair.html to rebuild kext cache on catalina.

Alternative method is to download hackintool https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/release-hackintool-v3-x-x.254559/ and choose rebuild cache from utilities.

On the next reboot, you won't have to use 0x12345678. Just boot normally, and graphics should be working.

I believe that the reason why most people who dont have graphics working (19mb) is because the kext had not been rebuilt/"cache cleared" correctly

Hi, did you finally managed to install 10.15.4 with the graphics working properly?

Microsoft Surface Pro 2107 with Catalina 10.15.3 and OpenCore

I am posting this in the hope that others can continue the work. The PC is Microsoft Surface Pro 2017, 8MB (Intel i5 7300U, ALC298, Intel HD Graphics 620).

Successful installation (with graphic acceleration) with Clover and Catalina 10.15.3. To install, inject platform ID with 0x12345678 until complete installation. Final restart with the platform ID 0x12345678 and then use Terminal to repair S/L/E and L/E, then repair kextcache also with "sudo kextcache -i /".

The things that do not work is touchscreen, wifi and bluetooth (unsupported), autobrightness, battery indicator and multi-gestures for touchpad.

However with same above installation, I can not get the graphics to work (small elements and no acceleration) with MacOS Catalina 10.15.4.

With Opencore 0.5.8, Catalina 10.15.3. and Catalina 10.15.4 can be installed, but I can not get the graphics to work (small elements and no acceleration) in both.

Herewith are the two EFIs.

(Mình cài tốt trên 10.15.4 từ tháng 2/2020 rồi nhé bạn, dùng Clover chứ không OpenCore)
