I tried frame buffer Hamachi with inject ATI, used whatevergreen and lilu kext and still low scores. I also tried with nothing enable with graphics or any text just using it straight and it lets me in but still something is not running correctly because scores are still low. This is a tonymac post but should this guide help me? https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/radeon-compatibility-guide-ati-amd-graphics-cards.171291/ Your EFI folder and to be more specific your config.plist isn't optimized correctly, there is no SMBIOS for one, therefore clover will assign a SMBIOS based on your hardware specs and that might mess things up or impact the performance. About the link you posted as @ammoune78 mentioned we do not support their tools and guides so please read the rules carefully, although that guide is a good starting point to learn more about AMD Framebuffer but there is another excellent guide here at insanelymac.com which you can read to learn more about the how to modify AMD Framebuffer. About the WhateverGreen and Lilu combination you need to know if you are going to use them you should avoid injecting anything related to AMD GPUs such as a framebuffer or InjectATI itself, WEG (Whatevergreen) will take care of that completely. The low scores that you are experiencing is related to the overall performance of your system so let's take a step back and start from the beginning. 1. You were suppose to send us the pictures of your BIOS settings, if that's hard for you to do for any reason let me know. 2. Which BIOS version do you run on your system you might need to update the mainboard's BIOS 3. How did you install macOS, which method did you use to create the USB installer (and please don't say Unibeeeeeest :D) I hope we can find the reason for your system's poor performance. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/333775-xfx-r9-280x-black-editionz87x-ud7-th-with-i7-4770k-cpu-sierra-freeze-and-reboot/page/5/#findComment-2611802 Share on other sites

Awww thanks so much for clarifying and sorry for brining another forum's post in here. I will try and get screen shots of my bios in the next few days and I did use ##### for creating the USB installer . I have bios version F5a. AceMcLoven
here are my bios settings. By the way thank you guys so much for all your help on this. I did the screenshots and it said it was saving them somewhere on my thumb drive but they where not in there. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/333775-xfx-r9-280x-black-editionz87x-ud7-th-with-i7-4770k-cpu-sierra-freeze-and-reboot/page/5/#findComment-2611846 Share on other sites
Cyberdevs
@AceMcLoven The screenshot will be saved in the EFI partition on your USB disk, mount the EFI partition on the USB disk and the files will be there. (if that's the drive that you selected) Question: How much do you know about BIOS/UEFI settings? I'm gonna suggest some changes but if you have windows or any other OS installed on your system by applying these changes you might lose the ability to boot into them specially if they are installed in legacy mode, SO PLEASE save your current BIOS settings in a profile if your BIOS supports it and then apply the changes just in case! You should be able to save the profile under "Save & Exit" page. Any idea how to get pass that? CSM Support only will be active if you chose the UEFI booting instead of the Legacy Booting. About the VT-D I'm not sure why it's greyed out. If it's not active then there's no need to disable it it must be already disabled. AceMcLoven
So i did the changes suggested in the bios. Scores still low, I did do open CL test and that score seems decent. Is this normal for Open Cl score for this GPU? OpenCL benchmark can vary from one GPU to another, it depends of the GPU and the base clock of the chipset. I say it's a good result. But about the CPU scores you can test LuxMark and CineBench to compare the Geekbench results. You can use SSDTGen app to create your own SSDT tables for the CPU and test further and see if the scores improve with having those files in the EFI folder /EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched. Open the terminal app from /Applications/Utilities and drag the "ssdtPRGen.sh" file to the window and then press enter, the script will run and then at some point it will ask you a question press "y" and then hit return/Enter on the keyboard and it will continue and eventually save the files in the folder I told you. AceMcLoven
Thanks for the quick reply. So when I use command+G it flashes my whole screen but nothing happens. Can I just drag the folder I downloaded from github into that directory? for the directory is it in library or system\library? ammoune78
For the SSDT, just try this one, but you have to set drop ssdt Pm in clover configlike this: <key>ACPI</key> <dict> <key>DropTables</key> <array> <dict> <key>Signature</key> <string>SSDT</string> <key>TableId</key> <string>CpuPm</string> </dict> </array> </dict> and that's it.
