MacintizeD
Hey Taruga, It looks like I solved the popping sound issue. (Now I only hear the crackling sound at the end of white boot screen. I did it by opening up my laptop and clean my speakers with a dry cloth. It's probably the dust. Thanks for deleting my thread! If you hadn't done so, I wouldn't pick up my screwdriver and try to fix it myself. I know you have too many thread to reply anyway. But once again I appreciate all your efforts and good luck with the new patcher! Hopefully the new patcher can fix the cracking sound at white screen as well. MacintizeD Edited December 23, 2007 by Taruga Sorry for deleting the thread, I don´t want new threads in my area unless the ones I create. You should post inside the 'already' opened threads. Some sounds you may ear can be due to the unmuting of the codec that is done. InferiorYeast
any updates on the ad1986a driver? Both the initial 1986a patcher as well as the w3j specific one show audio inputs and outputs, but no sound and no volume control. Is it possible the new applehda from 10.5.2 would work out of the box for these chipsets? Edited December 24, 2007 by Taruga Very unlikely to work out of the box. You´ll have to wait for more news has I´m studying the specs of ad198x codecs. PiNG1434
I'm wondering if anyone has sucessfully gotten Dell Vostro 1400 / 1500 / 1700 etc series , Sigmatel 9205 working. I've tried every Sigmatel codec, and still no luck, With standard installation I used to have volume control and HD Audio in Default / System Output , but now after codec installs it's not functional. It currently lists Unknown device. If any one can give me a hand in getting the audio working, it's be great! Thanks in advance!
