Wanted to know how vital using a 16GB usb thumbdrive is to the successful installation of OSX on a hackintosh.

I actually dont have a 16GB drive rather several 32s. I was able to get clover booted up on it but am having issues with the install.

So i am checking every little thing to ensure these are not the real issue.

Also, would partitioning a 32GB drive into two 16gb ones (one for the install while the other lay empty) be acceptable?

Thanks in advance

Update for those who may have the same question down the line.

Even though most of the install guides seem to insist that your install USB MUST be 16GB, I've been told that using a larger size drive does not matter.

So you should read that as "AT LEAST a 16GB drive".

Hope this helps!

16 Gb is enoght , the minimum space to install last OSX.

However size doesn't matter ...

If you have more space , it's better ...
