Hello,

Got my Sierra build running nicely and the last thing that I need to fix is my USB3.0 speed.

MY USB 3.0 bus is showing in my system profile but the fastest speed showing is 480Mb/s and not 5Gb/s. I am using a Gigabyte z97 ud3h bk motherboard and running an iMac 14,2 profile.

Hopefully someone can show me the steps in getting my USB working properly in Sierra. All the guides I have seen seem to be for El Capitan.

I normally dig through the forums to find what I need but this time around I am really paranoid in wasting an otherwise perfectly working Sierra install as it took me a bit of time to get everything working, more so than previous Mavericks/Yosemite/El Capitan installs.

I would really appreciate some help!

Thanks in advance!

As I have said, extending USB ports is a short-term solution, as you all have USB bandwidth problem here. Try to filter out all unused ports, create a custom SSDT/custom bootflag to use with USBInjectAll.kext then it will work as it should
