AirmanPika
I think the reason is the way IE7 and Safari load web pages. seems to me IE7 tries to load a page as it comes in so it tends to slap it up there faster. Safari seems to wait till the entire page has downloaded before it shows it to you.
freddyt234
I use software update yes, when i'm on vista the page seems to come up fully loaded alot quicker than it comes up fully loaded on a mac, I think it may just be IE7 do you think thats why the pulled the plug on IE for mac, its speed will attract big internet users? schale01
IE7 also takes more ram up than Firefox. possibly reserving the space for webpages Since when? That's one thing you can't blame IE for is taking up more RAM. Firefox has always seemed to hog RAM especially when loading all those extensions that everyone loves. Timyang
Try Firefox or Camino on Mac OS. ASAIK Safari still have faster rendering time than Mozilla-based browsers on OS X.
Bartboy919
I was reading old articles and found that Vistas new network stack was built from the ground up and increases speed. I also heard that It will make torrents download faster also. With both this new network stack and IE7 I believe that it increases Web speed significantly
