hello

i just managed today to make it to the post installation section :)

now my system is running OSX EL-Capitan 10.11.3 (15D21) from my SSD , using clover lagacy MBR way

 

Things working so far :

1.intel hd 3000 Full qe/ci without any injections or kexts or mods (need to test HDMI out)

2.all usb ports working well ( all are USB 2.0 )

3.sata is working well too (hdd and ssd are on )

4.Ethernet RTL8111 detected , didnt try yet

5.toucpad (ELAN Ps2 basic function on but no multitouch)

 

things need working :

1. Nvidia 520mx 1GB DDR3 (detected and gets showed up as you can see here but 0 vga memory and info missing) , after reboot it dissapears from device list , if turned off device and used windows and boot windows for 2 times ( boot , turn off , boot ) it goes back on , stays on for windows but if i open osx again same loop i need to go through again , i cant disable the nvidia from my bios , no option to do so

2. cpu power managment (because i am using nullcpupowermanagment.kext and many injects in clover)

3. no Sound ( realtek ALC269 )

4. backlight control

5. battery meter and usage

6. bluetooth ( was working on yousmite 10.10.2 with chmira and #####)

7. wifi ? (wireless n-130 )

8. sd card reader

9. Trim for ssd ?

10. Camera not working

 

so far this is what i noticed ..... please help me solve those problems

 All of that will most likely need DSDT patching :) I would head over to the DSDT area for that. Not sure what "trim" is for your ssd? Your wifi card probably doesn't work with OS X, this was the occurrence with me. I went and made sure my card was compatible then found the VERY few that work and picked one. I bought it off amazon and it works GREAT! 5GHz and great range (link below) Not sure if the multi touch issue would be solved by RehabMan's VoodooPS2 kext (Mine didn't work at all and that was the solution) I know nothing about GPUs, I use my integrated HD4000. Can't help you with nullpower :( For sound I would try Voodoo HDA. There will be bugs to work out with it though.

i need someone to help me do the dsdt stuff because i never done that before

 

voodoo hda kext 2.8.6 used to work for me on ML , Mavrics and yousmite (using chameleon bootloader) , but with some problems , i had to install apple hda disabler kext also to make it work without a panic

 

if i can find a wifi card that is best for my laptop i will consider (the one you sent me link of is nice ) but for now i want that bluetooth back on working

 

whatever information you seek about my laptop i will give you to make sure it will work !

1 - Nvidia 520MX / Optimus technology = Apple don't use this technology, so is not supported. Only HD 3000 will work.

For disable you can use this boot-arg: nv_disable=1

 

2 - Power management for Sandy/Ivy Bridge/Haswell CPUs

 

3 - New AppleHDA Patcher

 

4/5 - Search for RehabMan's kexts and solutions

 

6 - We don't give support for Tonymac's tools, if you want use this tools, ask support in Tonymac.

But we can help you if you give the necessary info about Bluetooth device.

 

7 - Not supported by OS X.

 

8 - Try this: USB Card Reader Apple Optimized Legacy Driver (10.6.5/10.6.6/10.6.7/10.6.8)

 

9 - Use this:

Can i use the nvidia card instead of the intel card for the sake of speed and power ?

You read what i've posted?

I needed to make couple restarts till everthing settled but the noise that comes every time i boot into osx is not good ... i need to reduce the gain every time i login

WebCam is related with USB, if all USB is correctly injected, so the Webcam should be working.

Try to patch AppleHDA, or you can start using "AppleHDA Patcher.app" was developed by Micky and Mirone ;)

 

PS : There are many version of ALC269, try the best patch for yours

Can you delete All VoodooHDA and HDADisabler + HDA Enabler??

 

What bootloader that you used??

yes i deleted them all

plus repaired permissions and cache

i am using applhda patched kext from that osx86 link now , working perfect sound

i am using clover bootloader MBR legacy

Alcor Card Reader internal is supported OOB.

I have this one at Asus A455LF-WX016D :)

But, it's look you need fix USB Problem so your Camera will work

I started searching that that particular wifi card in my country now ... hope i can get it soon ... i dont know though if it is compatible with my laptop or not ... anyway i wanted to ask is this card has bluetooth ? Or they are usually separated from the wifi card ?

Ctrl + Shift + 3 or 4.

 

You need change the function of this button. E.g: Ctrl = Cmd.
