Jeezoflip
you cant post that here Why not. Its not illegal software. And just because its on a torrent site, doesnt mean you cant post the link. Theres free torrents too you know. People just cant post links to illegal software downloads such as OS X. Metrogirl
I'm going to be the spoilsport to rule on this. There isn't anything wrong with linking to a torrent in itself, but there is a problem with linking to something which contains copyrighted code. Windows, believe it or not, is copyrighted by Microsoft, and even a hacked-about version still contains enough proprietary code to get lawyers excited. For those with longer memories and those who have been members of this site for a while, you will remember the problems we had when Apple lawyers got their knickers in a twist over some of the links we had. We worked hard to placate them and ensure that dubious links were deleted. While I don't want to be a pain here, I'm going to delete the torrent links in this thread because I have no doubt that Microsoft's legal people are just as keen to jump up and down as Apple's were. We really don't want our ISP getting served with a take-down notice. Sorry, guys, but as the first post says, search the torrent sites, aaarrr Jim lad, shiver me timbers...
