Hi. I have instaled GM on 4540s with myhack. Then booted with it and installed probook installer 6.1.7. Everything works except for sleep. Anyone else have same issue? How to fix it?

NullCPUPowerManagement loaded?  Likely the culprit.

Lol, i had a AR9285 wifi card that i removed from a Toshiba NB200 when i had Snow Leopard in it (was not compatible at the time), and now i realized it works with ML and Mavericks! So i have everything working, i even have extended my desktop to an Acer LCD via hdmi to vga converter :)

 

 

Only problem, and i ask RehabMan about this, is that i have big graphic glitches in most Apple apps: Safari, Launchpad, Mail, etc - how can i fix this? (i have an ivy bridge i5 with hd4000 graphics, probook 4340s)

What is the source of your DSDT?  Did you use the DSDT patches built-in to the ProBook Installer to patch your own native DSDT or have you installed a foreign DSDT somewhere along the way?  You could also try an EC reset: Shutdown, remove battery, unplug AC adapter, hold power button 30sec, put everything back & restart.

Many thanks..Repair permission with kext wizard sorted it. but just for my future knowledge how do you check if the kext is loaded or not?

There are a few different ways:

- boot with "-f" then grep output of bdmesg output (eg. 'bdmesg|grep -y nullcpu')

- open IORegistryExplorer and search for nullcpu

- grep output of kextstat (eg. 'kextstat|grep -y nullcpu')

I patched my own DSDT...that solved my usb problem for example...but not the graphic problems...will try the EC reset

 

edit: EC reset did not solve the problem with the graphic glitches

Did you start with clean install using genuine install from Apple?  If not, all bets are off... What ig-platform-id are you using?

Thanks, but I am keep getting this issue of not sleeping. when I repair permission It works for couple of times and then back again same problem. Is there any permanent fix for that? BTW I am using PBinstaller 6.1.7

Or try the kext...

The script probably needs to get some minor updates to match the vanilla settings like VRAM amount... But it works for me.

Just try to search for "AAPL,ig-platform-id" in your DSDT and check how is configured.

Example:

 "AAPL,ig-platform-id", 
                        Buffer (0x04)
                        {
                            0x04, 0x00, 0x66, 0x01
                        }
