Yeah of course, ive always been using oclp for my gpu.. i really hope they will add it on their last fix before hackintosh dies out..

I just booted Tahoe 26.1 with my efi but the usb mouse and keyboard are not working even when using macpro 7.1 im sure im doing something wrong but at least i could reach the installer so maybe my x79 would work.

Could you take a look at the efi and see if there is some correct usb kext i could use to get the mouse working so i can install tahoe and report back how it goes?

Did you update the USB mapping kext to be Tahoe compatible? If you know how to work with plist files, you can do it yourself opening the USB mapping kext info.plist file and changing its structure to make it both Sequoia and Tahoe compatible.

Here's a very simple guide on how to Fix USB Ports on macOS Tahoe | Hackintosh. My UTBMap.kext after conversion works in Tahoe as it previously worked in Sequoia.

If we go back to Sequoia for a moument, im trying to make new install of 15.7.2 but keep getting the An error occurred preparing the software update even though im using mr hackintosh full installer ( what is the point of full installer if im getting this error cause of apple server check ? ) and creating the usb following apples steps through the terminal and doing the steps below in reddit even updated to latest opencore and getting nut of this problem cause Ive tried 5 times already and it doesn’t wanna go away

 

Im not sure if that is opencore related or they way creating the usb cause its hackintosh ?

 

Got the same problem with 15.5 but restarted 3-4 times and it worked.

 

Tried resetting nvram 3-4 times with no luck

 

And I can’t even get the upgrade through 15.5 even though I did all the ( Disable SecureBootModel, get RestrictEvents and add this to your boot args revpatch=sbvmm ) but the update doesn’t wanna show up ?

 

That’s why im thinking about clover cause this is nuts.. any idea how to get around this like one last try with opencore ?

Sorry for that, unfortunately there is not much activity on other threads so i dought if someone could help. i will try posting a thread later.

 

But anyways any idea why im getting this error with Sequoia and if clover bootloader could make a different ?

I just feel lost with clover not sure how to set it up for my machine and also if i could get my gpu working in Tahoe with clover or if its impossible unless its oclp that fix the patch ?

Regardless of OpenCore or Clover, ensure that if you are using the Bluetoolfixup kext, it is disabled when trying to get updates.

Bluetoolfixup kext is Disable already and still the installation wont continue and i cant get the update in 15.5.. any other ideas ?

Regardless of OpenCore or Clover, you can download full installer from mrmackintosh website and install 15.7.2 for example. Full Install do not erase your system. 😊

Yeah i tried that but i still get ( An error occurred preparing the software update ) as i mentioned before and i dont know how to bypass that error.. any ideas why is this happening to me ?

OMG I can not believe my eyes :XDDDDD I finally figured out how to get rid of this stupid error, wooooow finally wooooow.

 

I always create USB install from my own ssd partition much faster and well yes no need for usb drive.

 

Now I were like how was it before how could I get the damn installation to contine and bam it clicked in my head why not format the target ssd and just start the installation from inside the damn macOS instead and BOOOM it just worked got the first part installed that was always give the error and then it restarted and from there continued the installation like regular install it just worked wow although I had to rest nvram every time it didn't continue but that was only in verbose mode not that stupid error.

 

THANK GOD I remember that and now here we are 17.5.2 everything is working perfectly almost.

 

Now I'm gonna try with Tahoe but I wish someone know a way to get the gpu working ?

This Clover is truly remarkable, the startup is much smoother than OC, I tested it on a b150 with i5 skylake and hd530 with hd630 spoof, the audio alc patched with oclp-mod ( Sorry Slice and chrisss if I didn't use your voodoo but in this hack I only have speakers in the monitor in HDMI and I couldn't get it to work), with clover I don't even use AmfiPass.ketx
