Foxic
The HP is going to be stuck on Snow Leopard as it is AMD, also I know there are issues with Mobility Radeons. I'm not hot on AMD/ATi so you'll need to look into this further. The Compal should run Lion, you should have native graphics support using Chameleon 2.1 and GraphicsEnabler=Yes. For both machines the easiest way to start is going to be with a Snow Leopard 10.6.3 retail disk and Nawcom's ModCD/ModUSB. Start with the Intel machine as it will be a much simpler install. Foxic
There is no set method, you need to try different methods until you find one that works for your hardware. Try with a Snow Leopard 10.6.3 retail disk and Nawcom's ModCD. Do not PM me regarding installation, it quite clearly says in my signature 'No PM support'.
