Hi!
I Updated to the 4th beta - but there is no difference except for slightly different graphics, you still need to patch the sound. Apparently, the Tahoe developers have finally cut out AppleHDA. I patched sound with this fork. In it, the bro disabled Modern WireLess patches for broadcoms, left only the sound and enabled Unsupported Host OS - for Tahoe. Enabling the Modern WireLess patch - asks for a folder for the 25th kernel 13.7.2-25, which does not exist. Slipping 13.7.2-24, 13.7.2-23 - the root patch passes good, but entails a crash screen of death on the next boot. Neither disabling to the minimum kexts, amfipass not helps, recovery - minus 2 hours - and you are on the third beta, although the 4th was installed. Let's wait for Dortania to update PatcherSupportPkg.

Welcome.
I'd already seen aryajuanda's site, which is interesting because, as you say, he's added support for Tahoe, implemented AppleHDA using the @laobamac_yyds mod and disabled the modern wireless patch.

But for AppleHDA we now have two excellent apps that are much simpler than OCLP, which is much more complex and heavyweight: MyKextInstaller by @Mirone and SimpleLoader by @laobamac_yyds. Both in InsanelyMac. Very good.

@miliuco Thanks, MyKextInstaller & SimpleLoader I see in topic [pre-release] macOS Tahoe.

On the last page, the guys write about the problems with the USB ports. My USBports.kext from Hackintool for Sonoma has been modified from USBMap patch with USBMapInjectorEdit.command for Tahoe 26 B1 and works well in all Beta's 26

Hello, my name is Isabelle.
I'm a web developer, formerly a Mac user and recently a Hackintosh user :D

Welcome,  Isa! 🇲🇽💻

So cool to have you here. This is your home, so feel free to share, learn, and hack macOS with all the good vibes.
Let’s go and make it awesome! 🔧🍎

(( ¡Bienvenida, amiga Hackintoshera! 🇲🇽💻
Qué chido tenerte por aquí. Esta es tu casa, así que siéntete libre de compartir, aprender y hackear macOS con toda la buena vibra.

I completed a postgraduate degree in Brazil, and during that time, we had a partnership with UNAM — Universidad Autónoma del México! . We made extensive use of the virtual library bibliojuridica.org back then, between 2008 and 2010. Both my wife and I, who work in the Brazilian Labor Judiciary, were part of this exchange program. It gave me the opportunity to become familiar with authors from Mexican legal scholarship. Welcome to the world of Hackintosh — a realm of enormous challenges and endless discoveries! 🔧🍎🚀

Gracias!

Una pregunta, ¿sabes cómo puedo hacer para publicar en el foro de "Hackintosh Tools"?
Tengo algunas herramientas que he hecho y me gustaría compartirlas

Please write in English.
You must post a few times (6, not sure) in this just joined forum, afterwards you can post anywhere.
There are a Spanish forum section (other languages too) where you can post in Spanish but the audience is smaller than in English forums.

I fall into the category of Slightly Younger at the age of 72 and also retired so you will feel right at home.

Yes, still young indeed. 😉

I have been an Apple user and dev (since 1978), then Mac user, dev and admin. Hackintosh could be a way to stay in the game...

I heard about Hackintosh a long time ago, but I started thinking about it more seriously in 2020 (I had a lot of time during the Covid lockdown); so I started gathering parts for my project, but they where hard to find back then, and I ran out of time when all the parts where on the workbench...  ☹️ I only tested it by installing Windows.
Since then I did a number of unsupported Mac installations (even in the case where some hardware modifications are required, it's much easier).
Hackintosh should be the next step. As I'm retired, I have time to go further now.
Unless I'm mistaken, I should now open a new topic in the New Users Lounge section to discuss the setup I made, right ?

Hi everyone, I updated to beta 5 via OTA. First you need to register here as a developer. I recover the AppleHDA with this as with other betas. The launchpad is gone completely. The magic command (sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/SpotlightUI.plist SpotlightPlus -dict Enabled -bool true)  does not help.

I am here to join the discussion and hopefully find solutions...

Just for info... I am currently testing macOS Tahoe PB 3 and was able to cram HDA into the sytem/extenstions folder, but no luck with or without using KDK (25A5279m and/or 25A5338b).. AppleHDA is not even included in the later.

Update: I am testing Voodoo in the meantime and it is sounding very good compared to trying it many years ago with an older build. For listening to music I also use eqMac (maybe overkill). 😁

Big Thanks to chris1111
