If the links for files are dead, check through the thread (start from this page and work backwards) people have uploaded all the required files again.

I am using that mod file. it's well. but you are not lucky.

however you should shutdown => remove all jack/usb/adapter form your laptop => remove battery => wait 5 min => press and hold power 60 sec => ok now, connect your computer as normal.

I recovery my bios is ok.

I have a new problem.

The guide said: Flash bios, then exit program and shutdown. But.

When I shutdown by Alt+F4. The Windows not shutdown follow my command. It's just restart.

How do I know my bios is original bios or modified bios. ?

if you want to origintal bios you should go to dell site, download then extrac .exe file => flash again.

also I never shutdown by alt+f4. please click start => shutdown as normal when flashing completed.

I was shutdown normal. But it doesn't work.

So I try with another method as: (alt+f4), or (logout then shutdown) or (use cmd shutdown) or (turn off Fast Startup)

But it's not shutdown. Always restart.

I just wanna know. At the moment, how do I know my bios is original or modified bios.

I meant. Was I successful with update bios or not. ? How can I check this..

-------------

ps: I use Windows 8 to flash bios

Do you all have a brightness issue? I mean after waking from sleep the screen is much brighter (which is good), can't we tweak it to be that bright when turning on the laptop?

even a tweak that would command it to sleep and wake at startup would do....
