DVD drive works on windows no problem at all.

Also with the first boot (i mean usb stick after the install) dvd drive recognized .

But after the procedure of installing chmln and copying extra folder and other stuffs and restarting the system dvd drive not recognised.

A very strange to me.

I mean what happens at after the extra folder and replacing kexts.

is there a kext for using the dvd drive or what is the kext relation with the dvd drive.

Thanks

see may be your dvd need more time to be read try to increase delay time

see here

When i boot with "UseKernelCache=No" everything seems perfect. My dvd drive recognised by the system.

Is there a fix for that or do i always boot with that flag?

see i patched iostorage kext by the default delay .2 sec

you need to read the topic linked and patch kext with 1 sec read to know how

If it said that the panic is because AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext then it is because of the bios mod

but wait a second, you said you have to install windows every time again to run the flash program? why is that? what is your main OS in your laptop? you don't use windows?

My main OS is Mac, or better i want my main OS to be Mac... I don't need Windows, my PC is also an Hackintosh with only Mac as OS :) And i used my laptop as only mac laptop before, but i used iatkos back then and now i want to do it with this tutorial...

check about SSDT-4 of your cpu

Okay how do i do that? i got the i5-2450m, so i thought i didnt have to change anything for the preparation of my drive ... was i wrong?

thanks for the answers btw, i hope i can fix this :))

OK Mohamed so we understand what the problem is.

But i could not understand how to patch it.It's a ".pl" file.

I really don't know what to do with that file and how to patch it.

Thanks..

and type perl

and pull patch achi pl to terminal and type

-d 800

so comand will be like this one

perl /Users/Mido/Downloads/patch-ahci-mlion.pl -d 800

extract your dsdt from package as i explained on topic

sorry but i dont get how :S

in your tutorial, you say that i5 users should not replace anything, i took that as in leave everything as it is and just copy it to the drive where i store the install files....

if i do have to change something could you please tell me what exactly, i dont think im getting anywhere by searching on my own...

Zaza if your cpu is i5 2450 then you have to use this attached file.

In tutorial cpu is i5 2410.

Replace that file.

Mohammed thank you very much for your help.

Hello! in my inspiron N5110 works all, but have 2 little errors:

-Brightness is not full 100%, is 50% and when wake from sleep brightness is 100%.

-USB3 work perfect, but some hardware like iphone 4s, don't detect and can't pass music and photos, only if i contect in usb 2.0 port work perfect.

Any solution for this problems???

If I can help for something I can resolve questions!

Thanks a lot for this incredible post!!!!!
