A little boost in score on a clean install of Lion with added combo update 10.7.3 using GeForceGLDriver.bundle 10.7.3

Its iMac 11.2 doesn't really make a change. Im using ssdt.aml also and thats connected to my iMac model so thats why I use it.

IMO, there was an iMac using an intel gulftown i7 2.66 and thats exactly the CPU currently in the machine so ... figure with the HD4850 its almost a clone. back a year or so.

You can play with:

<key>SMproductname</key>

<string>iMac11,2</string>

<key>SMfamily</key>

<string>iMac</string>

In certain cases you might need to also make changes elsewhere or the adjustment in your smbios.plist will give you kernel panic.

Back up and tinker with caution.

Cinebench score the same, Will play around with Mountain Lion soon just haven't had time.

except the audio

can you share AppleHDA.Kext or other Kext thats enable the audio in card

Its a DIY project and the result is worth the effort. Requires dsdt and kext edits. Both HDMI and DP audio working on my EVGA GTX 570 HD. Info: http://www.tonymacx8...p?f=162&t=31664

I really appreciated the guide for 570 on Lion 10.7.3.

IVe done everything you mention in the guide however I get nearly half your FPS in Cinebench. I have a core i7 990x, Gigabyte x58 UD7 and a Evga Gtx 570 HD with 2560 ram.

I noticed that my NVHAL file doesnt look the same as yours, I did try to use the one in your guide but, I had 1280 resolution afterwards. I edited my original file and got a very slight increase. I also added my device ID to Applegraphicspowermanagement too.

I DID install the Nvidia Update drivers but it may have slowed things down? Also, I have another installation of 10.7.2 that gets around 35fps, all same hard ware.

Please help!

Thanks!

Can you post a modern guide? I've been trying to get my GTX570 HD working on a fresh install of 10.7.3. I tried stock 10.7.3 drivers with latest CUDA and Mul+1B3ast combo enabler. I have seen some post results in Luxmark as high as 7000, I can't get anything over 800. Someone recommended a DSDT edit for my card, but I'm not sure if that's still a decent method and I have no experience with DSDT editing. Like most, the death of the auto-patcher was a sad day for me v.v

OK, Im trying to understand at what point are you stuck at? If you have a fresh install that means you were able to install 10.7.3 but can't reach the desktop upon reboot? You can edit the kext using Windows with Macdrive, or an Apple computer via USB/Hard disk adapter.

The stock 10.7.3 NVDA'GF100 kext won't work, must edit.

Reading this makes me feel dumb! I know its me not you, but I am getting lost trying to do this....

I am running 10.7.3

3.39 Ghz Core i7 with 16GB ram.

Mobo is Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3

Here is where I am at.

1) Chimera 1.5.4.pkg or newer Found @

#############

I got that part. I downloaded and installed it.

zip.gifboot.zip

123.15K

53 downloads

replace Chameleon boot in the root (its hidden)

I downloaded that and copied it over the one I had. I hope there was not anything else I was supposed to do.

2) GeForceGLDriver.bundle hex edit. 100%Open CL GPU Fermi 4xx 5xx

osx86.net

You can edit your own 10.7.3 using Hex utility found further down thread. Do to the size can't post it here so I gave more detail. Its fairly simple using

Hex Edit.

I am confused on this point. I downloaded "

GeForceGLDriver.bundle" from osx86, but I don't know what to do with it. I know I have to use kext wizard to install it, but do I need to modify it first or anything?

3)ID inserted 1086

Lion 10.7.3 NVDAGF100Hal *from 10.7.2 please use http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1484 do not reboot when finished replace considering you will have no graphics without the ID edit!

updated 10.7.3

zip.gifNVDAGF100Hal.kext.zip

4.2MB

93 downloads

I am totally confused about this. Do I just install with kext wizard?

I assume I just install with kext wizard?

Thanks!

...I'd suggest...do the installs with kext wizard...using the option to backup anything existing that it may over-write...a folder named Kext Backups will be created on your desktop...restart using -v and see what your mac thinks about the changes :moil:...=*

Please use 1080 (the 0 actually means it will accept any value from 0 - 9)

Also, make sure that you do not leave unnecessary spaces in between.

Use tab and enter key when editing the file.

By doing so, my friend manages to get the apple loo correctly at the boot screen. Please try...I have a 550Ti and it also works fine.

Hi, inovice

Can you confirm that miniHDMI & 2 DVI ports of your GTX 550 Ti card all working now ?

Which bootloader are you using ? How many kexts did you patch ?

Looking forward to your reply as soon as possible. Thanks.
