edgar87
After re-installing Lion on my Core i7 PC, and updating to the latest 10.7.2 beta, I can't login to iCloud anymore! On my MacBook Pro it works perfect (with the same 10.7.2 beta) But on my Hackintosh I get this:
Adam1203
I'm having the same problem, but it works fine on my iPhone. I read somewhere that it may be because we don't have a wifi card.
The Real Deal
Same here ; wifi dongle : Trendnet TEW-644UB (ralink 2870) because no developer account
edgar87
Ofcourse I have an iCloud developer account. And before the re-install of Lion it worked perfectly (with all the beta's before 11C57) The App store works normally on my Hackintosh. (I can login there etc.)
allenwkk
I did have the same problem but after 1. I added a USB wifi stick and use wireless utility to connect it to router 2. I turn on the mobileme account via the ipad ( under general, mail, add account, select mbileme for locating your ipad) then go back to icloud in my mac..... now it works. NBS
I've been having this problem on my hacint0sh. I had to create an account here cause that POS tonymac site removed my post for "talking about unreleased software". What do you mean allenwkk? I've been using a USB stick for my wifi since my PC doesn't have an internal wireless card (yet). I have a cheap one from eBay, uses the Ralink chipset so I use the third party Ralink Utility for my wifi. I have an iPhone, no pads. Is there a way for me to get this working, it works great on my iPhone and on iCloud.com, just not my hackint0sh.
NBS
Well, I tried the older beta (11C55), it also gives the same error. So I started thinking its the wifi card and decided to take apart one of my old MacBooks, pull the Apple PCIe mini airport card out of it and put it inside my hackint0sh (which has a PCIe mini port) and its recognized perfectly as an airport, as expected. BUT, iCloud STILL does not work. So anyone thinking it may be because you don't have an official wireless card, think again, because this Apple AirPort card is as real as they get! Still don't know what the problem is but its driving me crazy, I got a perfectly good working hackint0sh here with everything, but it just won't work with iCloud. My ethernet doesn't work on OS X, so I'm starting to think it has something to do with that. Maybe Apple can tell if you don't have an ethernet port or something. I donot know how to make your config works... but mine is working well and log in icloud .... my config - Asus P6TSE built in ethernet (Realtek) - USB wifi with Realtek 8188CUS chip (patched to make airdrop work with defaults write com.apple.NetworkBrowser BrowseAllInterfaces 1 - updated the Chameleon to make Facetime work
edgar87
Well my LAN works, and is set as first network-interface (en0) and I still can't login to iCloud on my Hackintosh I think it's Chameleon related or something!?
NBS
I finally figured out how to get it to work. You'll need to reinstall Lion, then install the older 10.7.2 11C48 beta and iCloud beta 10, then set up iCloud and then update to the 10.7.2 11C57 beta. That seems to do the trick. Haven't tried the newest beta yet (11C62) but it works fine with the 11C57 beta).
needz
Same here, won't login. Let's just hope that it works in the final build
NBS
Actually, the more I think about it it may have been the wifi card. I just reinstalled the OS again and didnt install the older beta, just the newer one and iCloud worked fine. Maybe cause I reinstalled with the airport wifi card in it worked? Either way its either the wifi card or the old beta that some how "activated" it. Good luck getting it working people!
bluedevil_zg
Hi, I have had the same problem as the OP, and solved it by installing the Chimera 1.5.4 update. I've read here somebody made update to bootloader, so I went ahead and updated it too (as for Facetime fix) - and voila! HTH
edgar87
Thnx bluedevil_zg! I can confirm that installing the latest Chimera boot loader has fixed it for me too!!
Imho
Ditto. Updating to Chimera 1.5.4 fixed my iCloud logon issue (11C62).
xRAFAx
Changing only the bootloader didn't solved anything for me, I needed a SMBios with a Valid Serial Number to get it working w/ the specified bootloaders that have the Facetime/iCloud Fix... If someone still can't make it working try this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1760215 Good Luck!
SuperHack
Chameleon also has a fix for this so if you are using Chameleon, just upgrade to rev 1627.
Foxic
I'm getting the 'This Apple ID is valid but is not an iCloud account.' error when trying to log into iCloud. I have iCloud set up on my iPhone so the account is ok. I have EthernetBuiltIn Yes defined in my org.chameleon.boot.plist. I am using Chameleon 2.1 v1627 (I have tried chameleon 1496 and chimera 1.5.4) I have ethernet connections on en0 and en1 I have a genuine mid-2010 nehalm MacPro5,1 serial (checked on apples self service section of their site) The App store works and I can log-in and download. No idea if FaceTime works as I don't have a webcam. I really don't know what else to try. smbios.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>SMbiosversion</key> <string>MP31.88Z.006C.B01.0712212319</string> <key>SMcputype</key> <string>1793</string> <key>SMexternalclock</key> <string>6400 MHz</string> <key>SMmanufacter</key> <string>Apple Inc.</string> <key>SMmaximalclock</key> <string>2.7 GHz</string> <key>SMmemmanufacter_1</key> <string>Corsair</string> <key>SMmemmanufacter_3</key> <string>Corsair</string> <key>SMmemmanufacter_5</key> <string>Corsair</string> <key>SMmempart_1</key> <string>TR3X6G1600C8D</string> <key>SMmempart_3</key> <string>TR3X6G1600C8D</string> <key>SMmempart_5</key> <string>TR3X6G1600C8D</string> <key>SMmemserial_1</key> <string>09231391</string> <key>SMmemserial_3</key> <string>09231391</string> <key>SMmemserial_5</key> <string>09231391</string> <key>SMmemspeed</key> <string>1600</string> <key>SMmemtype</key> <string>24</string> <key>SMproductname</key> <string>MacPro5,1</string> <key>SMserial</key> <string>YM0330U7EUH</string> <key>SMsystemversion</key> <string>1.0</string> </dict> </plist> org.chameleon.boot.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>npci=0x2000</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>1</string> </dict> </plist> Do I need SMboardproduct and SMfamily in smbios.plist? fc bayern
On my Hackintosh laptop i solved the iCloud problem by deleting the(/Library/Preferences/System configuration) : -networkinterface.plist -com.apple.networkidentifikation.plist -com.apple.atheros.plist After that i erase all of them in system preference pane (network pane) , and add them manually Used the Ermac modified boot loader and most important I have changed the serial number in smbios( I have tried severals),and no problem here ( also app store, FaceTime work all OK) BUT on my PC hackintosh, done all of that and still can't get the iCloud to work, app store and iTunes working OK Im getting the message : You can’t sign in at this time , Try again later. Any Idea? Here Im running Lion Server 10.7.2 (maybe that is the problem, but I doubt)
