  2. 10.7.2 update issues

I had the same issue. I booted from my "Recovery System" and reinstalled the update from there. After that I got a lot of KP trying to boot. In my case, the KP was solved just using a SMBios.plist properly configured... like magic the OS X booted up without any issue... KP solved... Them I had problems w/ iCloud, that was related w/ SMBios.plist too... Fix: I used one of the chameleon releases which has iCloud Fix + a SMBios plist w/ a valid serial number made w/ Champlist.app... If you need any explanations on how I made iCloud work, read this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1760215
  3. Can't login to iCloud on 10.7.2 (11C57)

    Try this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1760215
  4. OS X Lion 10.7.2 11C40 !

I had the same issue... It's good to have an extra partition or USB HDD w/ a OS X installation. I just booted up and restarted the update from my emergency System. After that I get a lot of KP, which I solved w/ a properly configured SMBios.plist w/ a product number that I saw in another tread. All things OK? No, I couldn't set up my iCloud. I changed the bootloader several times but changing only the bootloader didn't solved anything for me, I needed a SMBios with a Valid Serial Number to get it working w/ the specified bootloaders that have the Facetime/iCloud Fix... If someone wants a Valid SMBios, see this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1760215 Good Luck!
  5. Can't login to iCloud on 10.7.2 (11C57)

Changing only the bootloader didn't solved anything for me, I needed a SMBios with a Valid Serial Number to get it working w/ the specified bootloaders that have the Facetime/iCloud Fix... If someone still can't make it working try this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1760215 Good Luck!
  6. I have finely got success after several methods... Here are what I did: - I made a VALID new SMBios.plist with this APP: http://awesome-studio.tk/champlist/ - Since It was my last try, I'm using Chameleon rev1495, but some people said that 1493 and 1496 works too. There are other modified ones, like "Chameleon 2 VS Rev1627" and Chimera. I tried all those chameleons, but I only had success using the valid SMBios.plist together, so if it's your case, you may try. IMPORTANT! People who uses RAID can't use these chameleon releases, for more info: http://forge.voodooprojects.org/p/chameleon/issues/188/ --------------------------- How to make a SMBios.plist w/ Champlist: 1 - Download and unzip; 2 - Open the APP; 3 - Click on "SMBios" button; 4 - Choose a model; 5 - Check "Serial Generator"; 6 - Select a CPU (the CPU have to match with the model you chose first); 7 - If you want you can change the country; 8 - Click "As..." (Save as...) and save the SMBios.plist; 9 - Them you only need to put it on your ./Extra folder; 10 - Done! ------------- I think its unnecessary but I set this value on "org.chameleon.Boot.plist": <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> ------------- Sorry for my english and good luck!
  7. It wont fixed iCloud. I had already used my account on my macbook white with success, but when I try to use the same account on hackintosh, it says that my account isn´t an iCloud account. I read something about an old chameleon (r1496), that fix it but can´t be used w/ RAID. But even using Chameleon r1496 fixed it for me... Here is the iCloud issue: http://forge.voodooprojects.org/p/chameleon/issues/188/
  9. Solution for NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 on Leopard?

I used to have this bluescreen when I was trying to put the EFI in 10.5.1... I was testing dsmos.kext and AppleSMBIOS.kext from the EFI packs and it used to show that bluescreen... If you changed this kexts, try to restore your previous working dsmos.kext and AppleSMBIOS.kext and don't use EFI... If you use the wrong dsmos.kext the user interface will not load and you'll see only this bluescreen... I don't know if it's a rule for everyone... but in my case it was... try to do that and tell me what happened... Sorry for my english...
  10. Solution for NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 on Leopard?

Hi, i can't say exactly which packages I had installed but in my case: I installed 10.5.1 Zephyroth DVD to install MAC and after I used some Leo4All packages to Update my MAC OS X to 10.5.4 I think it will be useful: I didn't used any Graphics package, because I use Natit and never had problems with my Geforce FX5200... In previos MAC versions I used to put my card ID on GeForce.kext to get the Natit.kext working with FX 5200 (QE/CI Enabled...) But now, It worked without changes. Try to use only Natit and put the Device ID on GeForce.kext, don't use any other kext together like AgpGart, Titan and NVInject... Don't forget to repair permissions etc... or use Kext Helper because it's easyer... In this picture you can see my configs...
  11. Solution for NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 on Leopard?

I'm not sure but I remember that in my case I had to put the FX5200 ID in GeForce.Kext <key>IOPCIMatch</key> <string>0x032210de 0x00c310de&0xffffffff</string> And I used Natit.kext It worked for me, try this and post if it worked... Sorry for my english.
  12. PS/2 keyboard

Is it a Notebook? I've seen other guy complaning that his notebook keyboard doesn't work... I don't know about notebook keyboard and what connection it uses... try this method and if it didn't work I really don't know what can you do... http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=78735
  13. PS/2 keyboard

    Glad to hear that!
  14. PS/2 keyboard

Yes old releases only works w/ both PS/2 or both USB, but since 10.4.8 we can use USB+PS/2... The problem is that the new AppleACPIPlatform.kext from Leopard install don't have the drivers for PS/2 or it's disabled... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @adrian mak It's strange, you had only replaced the kexts from DVD, there isn't problem w/ this... If your DVD boot up w/ these kexts why your Leopard craches? Have you repaired permissions? At Leopard boot try "-f -v -legacy" My mouse is USB but I use a PS2 adapter... I'll try to boot up leo with USB+PS/2 and see what happens... When I came back I'll reply if that worked... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit I'm here again... I've tested it and everything gone well. (Mouse USB + Keyboard PS/2 and Mouse PS/2 + Keyboard PS/2) P.S. You said before that you deleted the kexts first, are you certain that you deleted the correct kexts? Your command to copy semed wrong because aparently you had copied only the files that are into the Kext file not the *.kext... See that almost all files into MAC are 'folders' w/ subfolders (Contents, Resources, Plugins ...) like *.app *.bundle *.kext be careful w/ your commands on terminal...
  15. PS/2 keyboard

I don't know, for me I think it's wrong... I ever use this form: cp -R /Volumes/Leopard_Install_Osx86/System/Library/Extensions/AppleACPIPlatform.kext /Volumes/leopard/System/Library/Extensions/ cp -R /Volumes/Leopard_Install_Osx86/System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext /Volumes/leopard/System/Library/Extensions/ sudo chmod -R 755 /Volumes/leopard/System/Library/Extensions/AppleACPIPlatform.kext sudo chown -R root:wheel /Volumes/leopard/System/Library/Extensions/AppleACPIPlatform.kext sudo chmod -R 755 /Volumes/leopard/System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext sudo chown -R root:wheel /Volumes/leopard/System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext sudo rm /Volumes/leopard/System/Library/Extensions.mkext After that open Disk Utility and Repair Permissions. Then reboot. P.S. before reboot check if the kexts are there: cd /Volumes/leopard/System/Library/Extensions/ ls ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bedock, this is a very useful app but he needs first to be able to use the keyboard, without it he can't create an account and login into MAC OS... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: I don't know much about terminal commands, I only know the necessary for MAC... Tell me if it worked... I hope you got success!!! Sorry for my english...
