  1. El Capitan - Problems with sleep

MOD55, it is under POWER - SUSPEND MODE - S1, S3 , or AUTO... S3 is suspension to RAM, S1 is only putting display and CPU to sleep (fans are all on). good luck
  2. El Capitan - Problems with sleep

I have the same problem. If I put my machine to sleep.. and as soon as it goes off, I click mouse or keyboard.. it will wake up. But if I wait until I hear a relay activated sound, I can only do a hard reset. I kind of solve the problem by changing the power control mode in BIOS from S3 to S1 only... it is not perfect but it works.
  3. OS X El Capitan 10.11 is out ...

    Mogolfiero, try HWMonitorSMC. http://sourceforge.net/p/edp-osxlatitude/svn/246/tree//apps/Hardware/HWMonitorSlice/HWMonitorSMC.zip
  4. cannot get HWmonitor working ... even installed Fakesmc.kext with all the sensor plugin version 6.18.1394. into EFI/10.11 or into S/L/E... do I have to change anything in Clover ACPI to make it working? any help is appreciated. edit: turn out stat menu 5.11 beta 17 works. so is HWMonitorSMC.app...
  5. OS X El Capitan Test Thread

Finally got El Capitan GM working . Hope following will help someone using Asus P6T SE 1. cannot make it work with Chameleon. 2. follow Chris1111 clover method to create a USB installer.. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/307003-clover-os-x-el-capitan-usb/ note: no need to add any dsdt.aml....... 3. boot and install 4. reboot with the USB and select the new EL Capitan drive 5. load the post-install . select right network driver. 6. HDA patch go to following and go to the clover selection to get the audio_cloverALC-110_v1.0f.command 7. run the command. make sure confirm ALC888 and select audio ID =1. 8 reboot... Edit: to ensure your Clover boot system is the same as your old Chameleon boot, I found the following:- edit the config.plist in USB installer : (for my ASUS P6T SE only as Clover detected my system is iMac11.1) <key>SMBIOS</key> <dict> <key>ProductName</key> <string>iMac11,1</string> <key>SerialNumber</key> <string>serial number of your old system</string> </dict> after install, replace the config.plist also after the post-install.... Depending on the serial number you enter.. My computer will show Mac Pro (instead of iMac)...
  6. Chameleon OS X El Capitan

I got the prelinkedkernel from another real Mac installed with El Capitan. Do the LZVN and got the kernel. No different from what I put into USB before. So same result. KP. edit: some progress after the usb creation, I did (some below may not be absolutely necessary) 1. update to Enoch-rev 2758 2. add GM kernel to both root and /system/library/kernels/ 3. edit chameleon.boot.plist - remove 2 lines "kernel" "kernel" - remove -f - remove 2 lines "usekernelcache" "no" and added in kernel flag line usekernelcache=No 4. add dsdt.aml to the Extra folder when boot USB using -s (single mode), it passed all until " type exit to continue boot" after "exit", found a lot of errors on " can't get kextd port" error then after 4 minutes, stuck at "waiting for DSMOS"
  7. Chameleon OS X El Capitan

same here. got panic using GM kernel put both in root and /system/library/kernels/ I notice also kernel command: rootless=0 and kext-dev-mode=1 are duplicated.
  8. Chameleon OS X El Capitan

with the launch of GM , I downloaded and create an usb using Chris1111 method.. ( changing the name "install OS X El Capitan GM Candidate.app" to "install OS X El Capitan Public Beta.app" in the applications folder). The USB created successfully. The boot however goes into Kernel Panic. see attached image/ I tried adding dsdt in Extra, but it is the same. Seem the USB port is in trouble. Any help? My configuration: Asus P6TSE i7 920 Asus GTX650 graphic card Yosemite Chamelon 2.2r2391 ; no NVRAM module (FaceTime and iCloud working but not iMessage)
  9. Enable TRIM on non-Apple SSD

iceage2609, I continues using Trim Enabler (3.2.6) in 10.10.1 and it is ok. what I have done , in very upgrade that turn off Trim 1. run Trim enabler, turn on and reboot. 2. it writes a "wrong" script of kext-dev-mode=1 to com.apple.Boot.plist. This will cause a boot error , "wait for 5 seconds" during Chameleon boot. 3. reboot and check Trim is on... if not turn it on again and reboot... then check....if it is on...Then fix the error. 3. fix it by replacing com.apple.Boot.plist in /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist to the original one. 4. reboot. I think Trim Enabler will check if there is an update to com.apple.Boot.plist before it will enable Trim.. you did not replace the error and so it will not turn on when you did the update.
  10. thanks. capitanbelico. FaceTime works but not iMessage. the action changed BSD from en3 back to en0
  11. I upgraded from GM3(14A388b) to the release 14A389 using usb flash drive... (using Chameleon 2401)... I lost iCloud and FaceTime (iMessage never works in both version). I fix it by using DPCI manager and check that the network adaptor is en3... following the guide in http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298027-guide-aio-guides-for-hackintosh/?do=findComment&comment=2020598 I restore the en0.... iCloud and FaceTime work again. However, since I deleted the 802.11n adaptor, I cannot get it back again.... (it is a realtek 802.11n usb adaptor) tried:- A. reinstall the wireless installation software. B. manually reinstall the driver using Kext Utilities kextstat shows that the kexts are not loaded. using kextload.... it said /System/Library/Extensions/RTL8192CU7.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) dependency resolution failure; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8). checking system log - error due to no dependency found for com.apple.iokit.IONetworkingFamily. in the system report under USB,, the adaptor is there under one of the USB HUB. Any help is appreciated.
  12. I done the upgrade through the USB drive approach. Found FaceTime and iMessage both not working.... activation error. FaceTime did work in GM3
  13. There is no upgrade available in apple store from 388b to 389. however, when I tried downloading Yosemite from Feature tab in apple store, it said "OS X v10.10 is already installed on this computer. Use the Updates page to install the 10.10 update or if you would like to download the full OS X installer click Continue" Any quicker method to upgrade instead of going through the USB flash drive method? is it worth to upgrade from 388b to 389? thanks for any help in advance.
  14. Yosemite Open Beta

I updated via apple store to public beta 5... no need to patch appleHDA... no change in Kernel.
  15. Yosemite Open Beta

14A379b installed update to public beta 4 (14A379b) via apple store update.. everything fine.
