The Lionize.command process always fails for me with the error:

The USB drive is properly partitioned:

I am doing this from Mac OS X 10.7.1 with the Install Mac OS X Lion.app in my applications directory.

What am I doing wrong? Is there something else I can try?

The size of the Install Mac OS X Lion.app ?

You need one ORIGINAL version (probably you have a custom prepatched file probably downloaded from a "non Apple website") and Lionize works only with untouched version.

Your motherboard is?

Ciao .: ErmaC :.,

after the sucessful instalation on my machine to a external USB HDD for test, i recreated the usb stick with Lionize 1.04 and installed on my hdd over my SL installation.

On this second installation i noticed some issues that i didn't on the USB HDD installation.

1- All my internal drives are showing as External not Internal

2- The computer is much slower then it was with the external USB HDD and in SL :D

3- All my IDE componets disapeared (No hdd and no optical drive). I even installed JmicronATA (this kext solved the problem on SL, but not on Lion)

Thank you in advanced

Hi!

RAMPAGE GENE III

STEP1-4 -- ok

STEP5:

Lionize.command finishes with

"

Copying Extra to /Volumes/Mac OS X Base System

Installing Chameleon...

./Base/Lionize.sh: line 1211: Installer: command not found

logout

[Process completed]

"

What's wrong?

Thank you.

Try adding a symlink to your system for the time of the install, something like:

sudo ln -s /usr/sbin/installer /usr/sbin/Installer

1- you need to install chameleon.

During the LIONIZe process it asks you if you want to install Chameleon. You must select Y

Step 7: boot from to your USB when you see a top bar select utilities > terminal and write down:

./finalize /Volumes/Lion
reboot

I'm presuming that you called your HDD Lion. If not replace Lion with your hdd name

2 - If you read carefully the tutorial, you'll find that on:

--- STEP 4 (OPTIONAL) ---

Needed step if you want an already 10.7.1 updated install.

Download the 10.7.1 update from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1437 and copy it into BOX LIONIZE's folder.

Update.

Lionize 1.05 and Recreandae 1.02

- More Asus X58 Motherboard support

- Correction for ALC892 and ALC889

- Update Chameleon to latest revision

Fabio

For people with a 10.7.0 already installed...

Run the 10.7.1 update,

and befaore "restart" run Recreandae.command

follow the instruction for your motherboard.

And that's it!

Fabio - App Store now only allows downloading the 10.7.1 installer. Any idea if Lionize works on that installer as well, or does it require the original 10.7.0 installer?

No idea...

If you try pls report your findings....

From Hacks and Slash

boot0: error

When ever one tries to install a multiboot OSX Window box, you are most likely to run into the boot0:error, or a b0 error. what this means is that the partition that you intend to boot into did not have the active flag set. Most of these errors arise after you have installed 2 systems and it wouldn't boot into either or both. This can be easily fixed by the following steps

1. Boot with mac OSX boot disc

2. Goto Utilities and enter Terminal

3. in the terminal type

diskutil list

Make a note of which disk has the partitions(rdisk0, rdisk1, etc)

4. type

fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0

you might see the MBR error, don't worry about it.

5. type

p

and you should see all your partitions. At this point you would want to figure out which partitions you want to boot into first. If you have 2 partitions then flag the one you want to be primary last.

For example, you have 2 partitions, 1 and 2.Partition 2 holds windows 7 and 1 holds OSX Snow Leopard. You want to boot into OSX boot loader to choose which parition to boot, in this case you want to flag the windows partition active first, then flag the OSX partition active,

6. so you would type

f 2

write

y

f 1

write

y

exit

This would fix your problem, eject your CD and reboot.

I try this but error still appears.

this is my diskutil list, so please help step by step...

also, if it is possible, can I have only Lion and Windows7 partition in chameleon? is it possible to "hide" other partitions in chameleon ?

I would like to see only disk0s2 and disk1s2

thanks.

First of all, thank you for this guide and files.

I have an ASUS P6X58D-E and I did the whole process using a GeForce GTX 260 and everything worked (no special flags)

BUT, then I changed to my GeForce GTX 560Ti, and I cannot longer boot.

I tried flags such as: -npci=0x2000 , -PCIRootUID=1, -x, and nothing works.

My boot gets stuck at: [PCI configuration begin]

Please any help!

Thanks!
