willrocks
Hey, I've been reading the Insanely Mac forums for a while, and just joined, and I have a question up. In a few weeks I'll be getting a Macbook, and I'd like to have a bag that carries it snug. I don't want a backpack, I'd prefer a shoulder/messanger bag thing, but just one that holds the notebook and my cell phone or something, not this huge thing, but with good padding, so it can take some abuse . Any ideas? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25969-notebook-bag-for-macbook/ Share on other sites
Swad
Welcome, willrocks. Check out waterfield designs. I just bought a MacBook bag from them and it's amazing. It's the highest quality bag like this I've seen and the padding is great. It could definitely take a beating. INFNITE
check out booqbags.com and get one of their "Vyper" sleeves. Fits the laptop like a glove, and the material is tough as hell. The best thing is that you can then put your MacBook in any type of backpack or messenger bag you want. willrocks
Thanks for your replies guys, and right now I'm prefering the WaterField designs "Size 13-1 SleeveCase". Just out of curiosity, which one did you get, Mash? Swad
That exact one - the vertical version. It fits like a dream. I'll have a review of it coming up this week or next week. It also doubles as a lap-heat-protector and a huge mousepad. I didn't add any of the extras, like the piggyback, except the shoulder grommet things just in case I want to add one later. willrocks
I was thinking about Timbuk2, but after I saw one of those bags on DL.TV, with Patrick Norton saying their padding isn't so good, I went here to ask instead Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25969-notebook-bag-for-macbook/#findComment-176186 Share on other sites
Deviant0ne
I was looking at MacBook bags as well, and I ended up getting a Case Logic sleeve for my MacBook. Though it's probably not as nice as Mash's, it wasn't very expensive and it does the job for me. Plus, it arrived in just a few days.
