archer75
I'm looking for something that will be 100% functional with OSX86. Don't need it for gaming but would like to do some video and photo editing as well as managing my music collection. Needs to support resolution of 1600x1200. Most of the Dells I believe have a crappy Intel wireless card so that won't work. glassJAw
If your willing to keep the laptop in one location, you should get one with a x1600 Mobile, use Boris's method and hook it up to a LCD monitor. Most mobile dells have a Dell branded wireless NIC built by Broadcom which DOES work (well too) with OSX. abiffmaster
I'm not talking about a laptop. Most compatible Dell you can by is the Dell Optiplex 620. Everything works! Onboard graphics work (fully) Onboard sound works OnBoard nic works Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/25002-most-compatible-dell-you-can-buy-for-osx86/#findComment-169217 Share on other sites
Ouch
The ADP machine was basically a glorified optiplex gx620. I'd second that recommendation. poofyhairguy
Mine works 100%. There is a non XPS called Dimension e510 that has the EXACT same hardware. I get an Xbench of over 115 everytime.
