The bigger issue is you can't exactly native-boot the Dev Preview unless you either 1. Have an actual Intel-CPU Mac to install it on (POWER-based Macs get the boot starting with 10.7) OR 2. Have native EFI support (some P/H67-based motherboards do). The common EFI emulation techniques (Chameleon, PC-EFI, EmpireEFI) are pre-Lion-specific.
