I've read that thread many times. Got as far as creating my Verbis.txt files but after that it doesn't do a very good job in creating your pin configuration for DSDT from those files. Sounds like another script for you to create :(

PS: I have seemed to have lost Sleep after using the AppleHDA.kext from 10.6.2 and ALC8xx.kext. When I put it to sleep everything goes to sleep but it then immediately wakes up. The only other thing I did was move my bluetooth dongle as my bluetooth was all screwy afterwards. I'll play around with that later tonight.

Hi, I have Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L and I did saw in the DSDT Auto-Patcher. Is that all I need to do is to select that motherboard and click apply and save to my desktop? that's it right.

Is this how:

-boot from #####

-install snow leopard 10.6.3 retail dvd

-once completed, use DSDT Auto-Patcher, save to desktop.

** no need to edit the dsdt once dsdt auto-patch save to desktop, correct?

-update to snow leopard 10.6.7, use ##### and select user dsdt

-the rest of the drivers i should know how.

Thanks in advance

Not that easy. What I found best is boot your machine using Ubuntu and running the Auto Patcher there so that you get a clean DSDT. Using ##### would interfere with the implementation that the ##### is using. Once I created my DSDT via Ubuntu I had much better success. Then install Chameleon and update smbios and after that its just tweaking.

Hi MadOn,

First I apologize if this is a wrong place for this question. My correct dsdt and is fine; I have problem with the fact that my Asus is based on sandy bridge and I get recurring boot unless I use ##### legacy. the side effect is that it profiles the machine as MacPro3,1 and DDR2 which is not my case. I changed the smbios to MacPro 6?2 but does not make the necessary changes.

My question is, if you know of any boot loader that supports the sandy bridge and is there any way to get this problem resolved?

Any suggestions is really appreciated.

regards,

Artimess

certainly works natively

same problem here

even with correct data dmi

showed up as a hackintosh

problem solved with this SMBIOS

smbios.MacPro2_1.zip

I do not use SystemType=

Thank you for this. I used a version of Chameleon from your topic and it works well. I would like to try RC5 on my laptop as well. Right now, I am using AnVaL for speed step and it is enough to have the following two keys in my boot.plist.

<key>GeneratePStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>EnableC6State</key>
<string>Yes</string>

No need to add GenerateCStates.

So, with RC5, which keys should I be using?

Is EnableC6State supported?

Thanks,

I have no idea

Moved my external USB drive to a USB port thats on the back plate instead of being on a USB header and Sleep appears to be working!!

As for the audio I couldn't get the quadrophonic working (4.1). Instead I'll just use 2.1 for my main speakers and the other 2 for system sounds. Works for me.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

I'm having some trouble with DSDT auto-patcher and am wondering if it's caused by Kext installed or a Bios option.

It's a P5Q-E with a Q9300, Bios 2101.

The error is on line 5022 SB.PCI0.EHC2 Object does not exist.

Thank you
