Aceeze
Hi Maldon , I've used your DSDT Auto-Patcher and I found no support for my mainboard . It's MSI P45-Neo2-FR , also called MSI 7512 . I've successfully installed Lion but still a little problem with my audio . I could install VoodooHDA but the sound isn't clear at all . I still hear like helicopter-pumping sound . I've read that my ALC888 might work if I had a DSDT audio patched with HDEF ( sr I'm no expert on this ) . Please help me with my DSDT and also , where should I place the DSDT ? How can I install it ? Can that DSDT file also work on Snow Leopard ? Thanks alot Maldon . XLR
The new version seems to be very problematic... First of all it connects to the internet in order to download the patch, so if the computer boots from some BootCD like ##### or HackBoot and Ethernet doesn't works - you can't use it. Secondly, it doesn't shows anymore what DSDT fixes are applied to the specific motherboard. And because many new motherboards added and the list is long - it takes ages to find the one you need, because you can't even resize the window or use auto-complete. And the last problem, is that after second launch - the program doesn't starts anymore, it gives me the following errors in console: 04/08/11 16:00:51 [0x0-0x8c08c].dsdtparser.DSDTParserApp[736] 736 Notice [LaunchRunner Error] The main class "dsdtparser.AutoPatcher2" could not be found. 04/08/11 16:00:51 [0x0-0x8c08c].dsdtparser.DSDTParserApp[736] 736 Notice [JavaAppLauncher Error] CallStaticVoidMethod() threw an exception 04/08/11 16:00:51 [0x0-0x8c08c].dsdtparser.DSDTParserApp[736] 736 Notice Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException 04/08/11 16:00:51 [0x0-0x8c08c].dsdtparser.DSDTParserApp[736] 736 Notice at apple.launcher.LaunchRunner.run(LaunchRunner.java:113) 04/08/11 16:00:51 [0x0-0x8c08c].dsdtparser.DSDTParserApp[736] 736 Notice at apple.launcher.LaunchRunner.callMain(LaunchRunner.java:51) 04/08/11 16:00:51 [0x0-0x8c08c].dsdtparser.DSDTParserApp[736] 736 Notice at apple.launcher.JavaApplicationLauncher.launch(JavaApplicationLauncher.java:52) 04/08/11 16:00:51 com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[147] 147 Warning ([0x0-0x8c08c].dsdtparser.DSDTParserApp[736]) Exited with exit code: 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/235523-dsdt-auto-patcher/page/203/#findComment-1729389 Share on other sites

webkostas
Since I am not giving up I partially had success! Well, here is what I changed. I do not know if something or all did make a change. 1. I plugged in the battery (before it was only AC power - and the PC was saying that it was on battery source though) 2. Enabled "restart in system failure" at the AC power settings 3. changed sleep mode in "3" 4. EDB in BIOS sleep "seems" to work...I'll do some more tests though.... webkostas
OK, so...the thing that changed everything was to enable EDB in bios! Here is what's going on now: 1st time. PC sleeps ok. I press the power button and after 5 sec. pc goes in something like semi-awake (no monitor but hd seems to be working). I press again and PC fully wakes. USB mouse takes a while to come back though 2nd and next times. The pc goes alway to this semi-sleep mode and wakes up ok. That's a big progress!! Any ideas Mald0n?? we are almost there!! jedi_shaman
Mald0n! Been using the new rig Z68XP-UD3P the pas couple weeks using your dsdt and tonymac's and none of them seem to be a good fit for usb in either LION(worse) or Snow. I always seem to have to replug the apple keyboard, and if I put the computer to sleep, sometimes I get back to it and it seems half on. I've attached the dsdt from bios version f4 taken in linux. Here's to hoping there are new tweaks discovered in Lion. Is a new version of the autopatcher available? thx! EDIT : Just tried the new autopatcher! Sound was gone, going to fix kexts and come back.
