  1. Vega Frontier Edition on High Sierra

Man your quick to update. Cheers for the happy news. Hopefully this also solves other peoples "small system freezes" (spinning beachball), I have heard about in Beta 2.
  2. Vega Frontier Edition on High Sierra

Thanks for reporting your experience too. I have never looked inside my cabinet - so can you tell me the results of your video? Is it running full speed with no load?
  3. Vega Frontier Edition on High Sierra

Very nice. What about the fanspeed on the GPU? I hear it's spinning up quite a bit.
  4. Vega Frontier Edition on High Sierra

Thanks for testing the Website. Great that it works! I haven't tested it yet, but a couple posts up MMido tried both Kexts but got no Hardware Acceleration. If I test these, should I put them into clover "EFI/.../... other/kexts goes here" ? in that case I can always boot from USB to save my system incase it goes haywire
  5. Vega Frontier Edition on High Sierra

Hmm. I hope it's not a dead end, as 10.13.2 is probably a long way out (crossing fingers it's not). Hopefully someone with skills to know how to make the link between the kext and the system to make them co-operate, to get the benefits of no freeze systems + hardware acceleration.
  6. Vega Frontier Edition on High Sierra

Thanks a lot! I don't have 2 macs running at the moment, so I will share this file for someone more risky to test if it will work. My main issue is Final Cut Pro X does (on some operations) the very same freezing/crashing incident as Chrome (system lock up - GPU fan starts spinning constantly and is very audible). Hopefully this would fix this problem too :-) Citizen if you can use Chrome with Hardware acceleration turned on, and go to website: www.tv2.dk (danish tv + news) - and see if it crashes/freezes your computer? Thanks again, for this test and reporting. Such great news.
  7. Vega Frontier Edition on High Sierra

Dear Citizin. Is it possible to share any files to make this work on our 10.13.1 release? Can we just dump the kext file, and be done?
  8. DSDT Auto-Patcher

    Thanks again will test now.
  9. DSDT Auto-Patcher

That code, is that for terminal ? Ok here my DSDT is attached! (at bottom) Thanks again. Thanks Jedi. Is this work for a more vanilla install or faster (less logs as you say) boot ? My old way of installing was with ALC8xxHDA.kext - and it worked no problem. I am searching for a more vanilla install, so I can update system and have as few errors as possible. I will test your way of doing it tomorrow, been at it all day (for days!) and need a rest Seems like we have nearly identical motherboards ? Cheers for chiming in! unklemac_dsdt.zip
  10. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Thanks again for taking your time. Does the DSDT-Auto-Patcher do "Apply_DSM into device" ? I just used the DSDT I got from you The codec is Sandybridge ALC889, but have the same problem as Jedi_Shaman. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-p...spx?pid=3892#sp If I use VoodooHDA instead, do I need to rename appleHDAdisabler.kext to AppleHDA.kext, when I put it in S/L/E ? Cheers again Daniel!
  11. DSDT Auto-Patcher

That website just gave me a heart attack! And I'm usually not scared off by a bit of reading and trial & error, but just by looking it seems way out of my league. I will mess it up plenty of times for sure Thanks Daniel, and I think I will go the safe route of VoodooHDA. Cheers!
  12. DSDT Auto-Patcher

I had time to test the DSDT and the conclusion is: - Ethernet is not detected ( I have Ethernet=yes in boot.plist ) - Sound ( Gigabyte HPET patch DSDT didn't work ) - Disks shows as External ( Kext on first page kan fix that ) - Graphical Glitches (Sometimes) when moving folders and files between windows. Anyone else experience this ? Otherwise great work
  13. DSDT Auto-Patcher

I got the same problem, so thanks and will wait patiently for update :-)
  14. DSDT Auto-Patcher

He He! Even with all the free work you do, you still have energy to put up a smiley Have a nice day, and hope to hear from you in the Lion USB installer thread
  15. DSDT Auto-Patcher

    Thanks a brazil'ion! Are both the same DSDT's ?
