clipper99
I just had to be first.... Installed iLife 11 to a Lifehacker Hackintosh. Installation seemed to go fine. Ran iPhoto and it converted my database and asked me to restart so I did. Now I can't boot up. Stuck on the rotating icon that looks like a clock dial. Safe mode - no go. Oh well, time to reinstall. cheers ps.... is this the right forum or should I delete and post somewhere else?
Time2Retire
I did. All fine. p.s. Reinstall? Are you crazy? Just fix it!
clipper99
I did. All fine. p.s. Reinstall? Are you crazy? Just fix it! I wish! Almost a year ago when I was elbows deep into this stuff I woulda taken that challenge. But like my life these days I've moved on and forgotten everything. I think it might just be easier and quicker for me to reinstall but I will wait for a few days to see if the problem happens to smarter people than me and see if they post a fix! cheers
Jay794
I installed iLife '11 and it worked fine, uninstalled it very quickly though, problem with dual booting is I don't have room on a partitioned hard drive for 11,000 photos. But I can report no problems with my setup, works fine on a Dell Mini 10V

jumbochilli
Just finished installing it. As soon as I click on import photos in iPhoto, it crashes. I did not do anything, it did everything-no import of data, etc, etc-itself. All I did was watching it finishing it's job.
tanbk168
installed two days back... iPhoto crashed a few times... reboot and then hooked up my iPhone4 to it and then iPhoto launched and never crashed again... seemed that iPhone4 patched something to iPhoto and made it works... very nice... import of photos are much faster now... fmillion
Has anyone figured out if it updates/replaces/modifies/somehow messes with kexts? It probably does, at least new camera drivers or something. Use a bootloader to boot from an install CD and run repair permissions?

nonconformistconformist
How long did it take to install? I tried last night but the progress bar did not move for a couple hours. So I force quitted the install. Ill have to see in a little bit if it borked my setup.
