Hi! First post here!

Finally quite everything works! I can say 99%.

I still use it only for music production (Logic, ProTools, Cubase).

Here is my configuration:

- Cosmos 1000, P6X58d Premium with processor i7 920, Corsair H50, 6GB 1600 RAM, NVIDIA 8400 GS, 64GB SSD (SL 10.6.6, 2 HDD 7200rpm 500GB in Raid0 (Music Production Folders), 2 HDD 7200rpm 500GB (Music Production Library) and finally 2TB Backup (Time Machine)

First of all I overclocked the BIOS as you can see here in this video:

Then my biggest problem was on installing SL (it took too long). I realized that my hard disk wasn't correctly formatted. I took a cable USB to SATA then I formatted properly the SSD hard drive on HFS extended journaled.

I tried several DVD's from other sources (with an original retail SL) and the only worked easily and fast was Boot132.

Then I followed kup explanations and everything works right.

After updating 10.6.7 I lost my graphic card.

So I installed again Nvidia drivers and...bingo! It recognizes my 2 screens (one with HDMI cable and the other with DVI).

The only problem I had at this moment is that I can listen from the stereo sound but not record (so no input).

I have installed a genuine Bluetooth 2.0 (CSR) adapter (1/2 inch). Trackpad works great but I need to detect the wireless keyboard each time I start the system.

For the sound I use an external soundcard with Firewire adapter.

I dreamed about this configuration now this dream comes true!

Many thanks to everybody for your help and your sources!

Hi everyone,

i'm quite a nub to hackintos and having not so much luck with this. I'm on p6x56d extreme with i980x and 6gb of kingston hyper-x 1600mhz and an nvidia engt240.

I tried most of the methods listed around for this board

 • boot123 v1
 • boot123 v2
 • #####
 • ihack

with all the bios mods possible, however still no luck. With the boot123 methods I only get a restart, with ihack a blank screen and with ##### i get to the installation, however its extremely slow and cannot see the window boxes only a gray box (like a background of the window).

tried with all the 3 outputs of the gfx card, still the same.

any ideas?

with the ##### method somehow the system slows down extremely after this:

bug: launchctl.c:2325 (23930):30: (dbfd = open (g_job_overrides_db_patch , o_rdonly | o_exlock | o_creat, s_irusr | s_iwuse)) !=-1.
