suleiman Posted May 26, 2006 Share Posted May 26, 2006 infinite, I think the "Smackbook" hack is shooting for a more "functional" manipulation of the motion sensor than MacSaber. However I should report that after a day of use, the Smackbook hack isn't really useable. In order to get it sensitive enough that every time you "tap" the side it changes a desktop, you must also acquiesce to rapidfire desktop changes for moving your laptop onto a desk, tilting the viewing angle of the screen, and, what felt like, breathing too close to your MacBook. It's a shame, this would be a really novel idea for a notebook company to implement, and it would fit in so well with what Apple already shoots for.
