sandmanfvrga
I searched this forum and the net, but I can't find this. I saw it one time. I got 3 partitions on my old PowerMac: OSX Swap MyFiles I want Swap to not be visible on the desktop. Plus how do I change icons? I like some of the neat icon themes some use. Thanks. Swad
Check out our customize forum for icon changing goodness. As for losing the icons, this is about it... http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=17192 There has got to be a better way out there. EDIT: Try this out: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?sto...hard+drive+icon
sandmanfvrga
Aliases and no "real" hard drive icons? Ok. Two questions: Does aliases have the weird arrows like Windows has? Doe other media such as removable flash and CD/DVD still mount like normal? Thanks.

A Nonny Moose
The easiest way is to do the alias bit. I'd also think of removing them permanently off the desktop. Every Finder window has the sidebar that can show any disk, folder, or file you want with a command-N and a click.
