Guest goodtime
Have you've used Aperture? Can you tell us the differences in more detail that, I won't bother. Can you enlighten us please? Looks like you've opened a can of WORMS! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/15952-aperture/#findComment-107638 Share on other sites
kuruu
I won't be going into the differences, there are heaps of in depth reviews of both. Just wanted to point out it is possible to run Aperture 1.1.1 on 10.4.5 but you need to get it from someone. that is all. oh and 1.1.1 still runs smoothly on a hackintosh. that is all. Guest goodtime
I can say that I tried using both and I dislike Lightroom and prefer Aperture. Lightroom does have a slick interface, but it does not allow color corrections to be turn off and on as easily as Aperture. So, instead of learning two new programs; I am going to stick with Aperture. Adobe will have to try much harder to get me to switch. Guest goodtime
Aperture 1.1.1 update just came out.. and all I can say is that I love it. Color correcting Digital Photo's in Aperture as smooth as silk and it works great with my Sony EX-5 Digital Photo Printer. Its weird, in the wiki, it says my card is fully supported under the macvidia drivers with CI and QE, but doesnt work. erm.. the 5200 has full 2d acceleration now.. opengl qe and ci are all 3d hardware accelerated technologies, no way you can run aperture until np_ releases a driver which enables qe/ci and opengl for nviida cards.
