Urbz Posted April 13, 2006 Share Posted April 13, 2006 Is anyone else bothered by the current design of the iMac? I really fell in love with the old iMac G4. I think it's very practical to be able to move the screen easily, and i like the whole "base" idea. The Current iMac has a lot of space below the screen, and IMO just isn't as sexy. What do you all think? And why do you think Apple switched designs? Attached are the two models. Colonel Posted April 13, 2006 Share Posted April 13, 2006 My vote goes for the G5 iMac. I've never had a G4 so I can't really say, but from what I have seen, I prefer the G5/Core Duo better. DiaboliK Posted April 14, 2006 Share Posted April 14, 2006 i love the designe of the G4 iMac but i thinkit was more cost effective for apple to switch designs so the would have to have all custom made internals and pieces for just 1 specific model (ever seen insides of a g4 iMac?). in the new g5 design its just about all lappy parts anyway.
