R_M_F
It isn't working here. It tells me that it doesn't support GPT partition style EDIT - I got it to work, you must create a new partition from the disk utility on the leopard DVD in spite of the "normal" disk utility Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138672-windows-7-guid/#findComment-992266 Share on other sites

Aranius
It can, but you have to have the required 128mb Partition for Windows on GPT, normally it should be created upon formating a partition for Windows Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138672-windows-7-guid/#findComment-1041372 Share on other sites
kytzu
with a disk formatted from scratch as GPT using mac's disk utility and one partition as NTFS, windows 7 beta x64 can't be installed (complaining about gpt and not mbr disk, same as vista) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138672-windows-7-guid/#findComment-1041386 Share on other sites
buglis
Ok, thankyou. I thought that windows 7 could be installed on a disc gpt but it is not. Well I'll add another harddisk to my computer and I'll install it there. Bye:) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138672-windows-7-guid/#findComment-1041591 Share on other sites
Dr. Hurt
Edit: I found out that the only way to install vista on GPT is to sync it with MBR. Disk utility already does that if you make the last partition as MS-DOS (FAT32). If it's not synced it will complain about GPT partition style. Now, I'll try windows 7 & to see how it goes. Hopefully it'll support pure GPT. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/138672-windows-7-guid/#findComment-1058354 Share on other sites
