bofors
Looks good to me, the Intel D945GTPL has the Sigmatel 9220 and Intel GMA950. I would reccomend that you get 2 x 512MB RAM modules instead of 1 x 1024, so you are running in Dual Channel mode Then why get DDR2-667 instead of 533? NewEgg has lots of choices for cheap. This Cas 4 GeIL RAM for $97.33 looks like a great deal: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820144326 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/13134-building-my-own-mini/#findComment-83499 Share on other sites

blackfire920
looks lovely let us know when ur getting done with it DearALL, I'm new on this topics, would like to build one for myself, any recommend spec., should I go for 945 instead of 915, and I know it was a bit off topics; current osx@XP are base on PPC right? or already had a intel duocore 10.4.5 version...? bofors
I'm new on this topics, would like to build one for myself, any recommend spec., should I go for 945 instead of 915, Both work well, it is really an economic decision. If you have the extra money, go for a 945 to get a better board with a better graphics chip, the Intel GMA 950 (instead of the GMA 900). and I know it was a bit off topics; current osx@XP are base on PPC right? or already had a intel duocore 10.4.5 version...? OS X runs natively on x86 Intel (and AMD) chips, it is not "based" on PPC. However, some PPC OS X applications have not be recompiled for x86 yet, but that is no problem because Rosetta, which is built into x86 OS X, will automatically translated them. NuhkaX
I have this case, and I love it. It's nice compact and looks great. I found everything easy to install. The mobo attaches to a nice slide-out tray so it's easy to install everything. For running OS X, it does not matter whether your board has a TPM chip or not. That entire functionality is bypassed by "base" patches. It works if you edit some file, look (or ask) around. Audio works but out the blue port not the green. That is "normal" for all of these Intel D945 boards. I think you will also find that your front audio jacks do not work at all.
