davelewis7
I have a Sager 5796 (aka Clevo 571tu) with a Centrino 2 (P9500) processor, PM45 chipset, and have successfully installed iDeneb 10.5.5 onto it (this past weekend) w/o any problems. I even have full QE/CI on my nvidia 9800m gt with nvkush drivers installed. (doesn't know it's this card, and only shows 256MB ram instead of 512MB, but still works properly) I didn't even have to use the ichx fixed patch to get it working correctly, although its detected as unknown sata controller, but it still works properly. Try installing 10.5.5 and you may have better luck getting everything to work. Good luck!!! P.S. Track pad works, (not tapping or scroll, but still works) fingerprint reader works w/ Mac drivers available online, eithernet works, and battery meter works w/ ideneb power management patch. My Intel 5300 WiFi doesn't, of course, but a wifi USB dongle should fix that problem easily. Have you choosed something special? ikrstic
I have a similar configuration, except my processor is at 2.4ghz, and hdd 320gb, I`m sorry to say I`m staring to lose hope. I had no sucess with the install of leopard, I tried: Kalyway 10.5.1 and 10.5.2, Ideneb 10.5.5, JaS 10.5.4, Iatkos v4i, and v5i. The only one that I could get to pass the install succesfuly is the Ideneb 10.5.5, but when booting i get no errors just the boot hangs, I think that Asus has made some strange bios and motherbord combinations...I`m not sure how but i`m trying to find out, if any one out there has any idea how to run install and boot properly on this laptop please, share your experience.
