This is not my work.

I got it from http://bbs.pcbeta.com/thread-306787-1-1.html ,

and by the way,it's a Chinese forum,if you could read it.

The drivers come from iATKOS_v4i GMA950 driver and were modified by the author.

He tested it ok on iATKOS v4i system.

I tested it on Leo4All_v3 and it's OK,but first updated the LeopardGraphicsUpdate.

except a little mouse tearing

the most important was we nolonger need a paperclip !!!!

this is the file.

it could be used directly on 10.5.4.

but I don't know whether you need to firsr update LeopardGraphicsUpdate if you'e using 10.5.3 or some other versions.

GMA900.zip

Anyone who had tested it please post the result.

It just switched the deviceID between GMA900 and GMA950

in two kexts ( AppleIntelGMA950.kext and AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext)

that means ,replace 0x25928086 with 0x27728086,replace 0x25928086 with 0x27728086.

then we do not need paperclip.

Firstly, thanks to Andy4life for putting his edited kexts online and telling us how he got it working. Thanks to this guy, I got it working on my desktop so I thought I would share my files. I have edited the latest Intel drivers with both my ID and Andy's ID which should cover everybody.

Quick guide: UPDATE - r2 uploaded. Uses 10.5.3 drivers.

1) Ensure your system is running 10.5.3. Download my pack from here and unzip it onto the desktop using OS X. If you need 10.5.2 kexts then download this

2) Remove all intel graphic kexts from /System/Library/Extensions these are:

AppleIntelGMA950.kext

AppleIntelGMA950GA.plugin

AppleIntelGMA950GLDriver.bundle

AppleIntelGMA950VADriver.bundle

AppleIntelGMAX3100.kext

AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext

AppleIntelGMAX3100GA.plugin

AppleIntelGMAX3100GLDriver.bundle

AppleIntelGMAX3100VADriver.bundle

AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext

3) Enter the folder for the pack you downloaded and use kexthelper to drop all the kexts into the system. Then enter the folder that matches your device ID, and use kexthelper to install the AppleGMA950.kext

Included AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext is verson 1.4.20.28 which does allow resolution change, but has slight artifacts with heavy applications (for me, anyway).

I mean this it works 100% without external monitor

I read that topic before but never seen someone says that they do not need external monitor?

or did I have missed something?

Well I've restarted twice (2 times) and did not need to paper clip/external monitor. I've got QE/CI etc..

iAtkos V4i install, but system is very, very slow!!! My CD rom not mounting and not USB, I'm going to install Kalyway 10.5.1 which gave me the best results to date and gonna try this driver :)

I recommend Leo4All_v3 10.5.2

I'm using this and it works fine except a little mouse tearing .

You have to test it.

hello pals

just asking, does it support odies intel chipset such i865g?

thanks

are you sure of that? I mean, no mouse tearing?

If so,I'd install a Tiger on my laptop instead of Leopard.

It works on Tiger too!!! Thank you very much much much !!! no more paperclip..and the most important thing is... i've got QE/CI without mouse tearing! once again..THANKS!!!

Yes its so, but you can change it with HexEditor and rename 950 to 900.

So far I haven't seen any driver for i865G.

Link

But its totally useless.

I can confirm it works under Tiger. It replaces only the Framebuffer, the GMA950 kext wont load under Tiger, cause they are for Leopard only.

The Framebuffer is from Tiger. I guess it contains 2 Connection Switches, one for GMA 915 and second for GMA 950, the first one is disabled, so it wont even try to load the GMA 915 Profile, witch needs the external Monitor (Paperclip).

But nice find for Tiger users.

Still under Leopard there are artifacts for me, like on File - Get Info - Spotlight Comments - and now Mouse Cursor over it.

You said that "the GMA950 kext wont load under Tiger, cause they are for Leopard only."

So in Tiger, we only need to replace AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer and do not replace the rest from the GMA900.zip?

If im wrong, can you please post on what files to be replace/not replace from the ZIP file.

Thanks.

Yes, only the FrameBuffer, its from 10.4.4, other files are from Leopard. Take Kext Helper...
