replace them with prefrence panes from a 10.4.3 install and you should be able to use them. use pacifist on an install disk (hint hint)

 

 

Great idea, thanks. I gave it a try though and unfortunately its still happening. :D Weird thing is, it was working after I installed it. I'm not sure what I did or installed that is making those panes crash now. Things are working okay I guess, I just cant change any of those options. Maybe I'll just have to deal with it and hope 10.4.6 will fix me. :)

I'm having this exact same problem. The only thing I remembered doing was to try to install FrontRow using Andrew Escobar's FrontRow enabler. Did you do this also?

maybe you could start by uninstalling frontrow and it's enabler and see if everything goes back to normal.

excellent Job it really works!

 

How did you solved the problem? My System Preferences crashes every time I access startup disk.
