frauhottelmann
With b8 I got nothing neither the icon, nor system profiler page... I'll post the log in a few minutes. I cannot post the log, because the extensions gets unloaded right after the boot. I opened system profiler and looked if it is loaded. It was so I copied the log, but it wasn't present, so I looked under extensions again and it was gone. I already posted my log for b6, which showed the icon. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=818675 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/114105-appleacpibatterymanager-for-tiger-and-leopard/page/6/#findComment-835603 Share on other sites

bodenjan
Hi And where can I get the Vanilla Powermmanagement bundle? It is not in the downloaded archive... Hi guys, Here is the beta AppleACPIBatteryManager I have been working on. It will work with original PowerManagement and you don't need AppleACPIPowerSource. Although some values may have "0" value, it should display "Time" and "Percentage" but I am not sue if it is accurate or not. Also, "Power source" should detect correctly and icon should change correctly. If you are using the notebook, you can give it a try. It is based on original AppleSmartBatteryManager and linux driver. It should work both on Tiger and Leopard. (I used Tiger to compile the source code and it work on my 10.4.11 and 10.5.4) Again, it is just the beta version and you probably need the original PowerManagement with it. Make sure that you don't have AppleACPIPowerSource Installed or it will cause error. ~Eureka
Hi Chun-Nan my cycle count seems to not work with the b9 its just changed from 1 (b8) to 0 (b9). :-( Hi romanskij, I set cycle count to 1 on b8 edition while I used fDesignCapacity and fMaxCapacity to caculate the cycle count on b9 edition. Therefore, if it reads the same value on fDesignCapacity and fMaxCapacity, the result will be always 0. The cycle count in my notebook is also 0. Probably, in your machine, those two values are also the same. Chun-Nan Still some random kernel panic at turn off. While, i have enabled hardware monitor without icon but works (text and % only). Hardware monitor in action: Regards. Hi quinielascom, I don't know what caused the random kernel panic at turn off yet. The only thing I could thing of is ApplePowerSoruce. You can check your system to see if ApplePowerSource is installed. (Probably inside the ApplePlatform) If it is, just move it out of Extensions folder to see if it makes any difference. eraserhead77
b10 working fine here so far, no noticeable difference from b8...I skipped b9 altogether. One thing I noticed, but I am not sure if this is new or the way it is supposed to be, is that the icon changed from charge to plugged in at 99% but continued to say finishing charge until it hit 100%. I thought it didn't change to being plugged in before until it hit 100%. The charge did continue and reached 100%, and the settings regarding full charge have not changed, so I am not sure if this means anything or not.
