BigPimpin
I'd feel a lot more comfortable if JaS himself would post here and give its MD5 checksum to prove it's authentic. Either that or I'll wait until a few other people play the part of the guinea pig and report their results Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/100303-jas-1052-intel-sse2-sse3-beta/#findComment-715721 Share on other sites
JaS
I was away for a few weeks after this beta was release.I needed to take care of some rl stuff. So now that I am back and see that the beta is posted up on the common trackers.I would have to say the closed portion of this beta test is over. BigPimpin
Most excellent, JaS. I have wanted to try one of your installs for a long time (well, a month anyway)! I was tempted to try your 10.4.8 version but decided to stick with 10.5. Your work is much appreciated. Hopefully I will be able to give this beta a spin next week and report my results. Thank you very much for authenticating the torrent. I was afraid it was a fake, but maybe I'm just paranoid Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/100303-jas-1052-intel-sse2-sse3-beta/#findComment-715896 Share on other sites
zhimama
JaS 10.5.2 Intel SSE2 SSE3 Beta on Demon for testers. Good luck to everyone what do u mean On the Demon ? Could give a whole address clearly? Actually, don't really understand.... I was a JaS fan since 10.4.8. But this new version i've got wasn't able to even get into the interface of the installation. It just turned to black screen. ( I am using P35 board ( ICH9R ) ) Is this version on the demon ? same with previous beta version ? or this is a second fixed beta version ? liebowa
I've successfully installed LEO of different types and versions - never had this problem. I downloaded the BETA. I boot and get to the leopard install background and then it just hangs. Tried multiple times - hangs at the same place. have a Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4GHz, Gigabyte P35-DS3 w/2 GB meemory and an 8800 GTS. Where is the appropriate place to post this and get more info on other peoples issues?? Is there a forum just for this realease? Thx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/100303-jas-1052-intel-sse2-sse3-beta/#findComment-717025 Share on other sites

Btw, I have an almost identical setup, check sig. deadlyquirk
I'm having a very strange problem with it myself. I tried Kalyway the other day, and everything worked out of the box. I reinstalled with Jas this evening because I wanted to compare the out of box experience. It appears to boot fine until it gets to the blue screen just before it is supposed to load the leopard background. there are no windows visable. But I have sound. I can hear a voice that mentions that OS X has Voice Over. I turned on Voice Over, and was able to register the machine and create my user acount. I even selected my wireless network, and setup .mac and get to the finder. The entire time, nothing came on screen. It was simply a blue background. i rebooted, hoping that somehow it was just a glitch. but nothing came up. I am able to get into single user mode. I'm not sure where the log files or anything like that are. what should I do for trouble shooting? Aiden1945
I have the same problem with Jas than with iatkos and kalway. I can install it perfectly, but in the first boot It hangs before loading the desktop or login screen (just a blue screen). The only release that worked for me so far is Leo4all, but it lacks driver support for my computer. In fact Leopard does not really hang, because with iatkos I got sound support and I can vary it using my laptop controls and I get display and sound feedback. I'm using a centrino laptop, C2D T7250 2Ghz, Intel x3100, Intel wifi abg3945... It's just an average intel laptop, hardware cannot be so different compared with a macbook. And I've tried like 15 different installs, I'm sure I'm not messing with install options.
