Since it was getting boring to do all the copying and pasting I took the liberty of making an Installer Package of the HUD mod. Enjoy!

let me be the first to say that this did not work...it only made the words "Mac OS X" turn white.

no, its doesn't. It's only install some nib files to your loginwindow.app to have a nice about the mac hud

Just use Pacifist to get loginwindow.app out of the OSX DVD's and put it in /System/Library/CoreServices

MoC, you seem to have forgotten to zip your upload. Otherwise, you wouldve had no problems uploading here. A .pkg file looks like a folder to most hosting sites.

I ran the installer, repaired permissions, and I have no change in my Login Screen or anything...
