Few more lines prior to HDD boot freeze:

If you want to make modifications to files:
           /sbin/fsck -fy
           /sbin/mount -uw /

If you wish to boot the system:
           exit

:/ root#

-s flag triggers a superuser mode and you are actually seeing its proper output. Why are you booting with that flag and what are you expecting to achieve by it? Why use the cpus=1 flag? Also, what is in your USB/HDD org.chameleon.Boot.plist? Is there a Default Partition string in it?

i've got sound all good with voodooHDA,

just small question..
left-jack auto-switch fine between internal speaker and headphone.
is there a way to make center-jack (lineout) auto-switch..? currently i have to set output device to lineout manually in syspref

hi, dell has released a new driver for alps touchpad with multi gestures that works on m1530 alps, can you improve the ps2 kext? it just have two fingers scroll but not the zoom and etc...there's some one that knows how to rewrite the kext? thank you

It's been a little while since I lat posted, my XPS has been running well without any issues on 10.7.1, but I finally decided to replace it with something a little more portable, so purchased a MacBook Air 11". Thus the XPS is going to be retired from any activities with me, it will become a HTPC for the family room to replace an ageing Celeron D based machine

So I thought I'd take the opportunity to thank those that have helped out, those that continue to work towards the perfect MBP replacement and give encouragement to those that are yet to try this path. It is a great way to learn the ins and outs of both OS X and your equipment.

I will be keeping a full copy of both working 10.6.8 and 10.7.1 partitions though

So thanks again, I will probably pop by every now and then.

Likewise thank you for all the help that you've given!  Your DSDT work has especially been helpful for these computers, and I also use your patched VoodooPS2.  Enjoy your new MB Air.  Beautiful computer.  I've been wanting to do the jump to a true Apple computer myself but can't do it because this M1330 still works well and I'm too frugal!  My wife has a MacBook.

Just updated my M1530 to 10.7.2 with the Combo Update but now he Bootes normal but than the screen gets Black. The OS Running, Sound is working and so On.Any a ideale what i coud do??

Hey, i just removed voodooHDA.kext from my extensions folder to my desktop, started the Apple-Update, restart, everything works fine... after the update you have to delete AppleHDA.kext from the extensions folder and you need to install your VoodooHDA.kext again, i used Kext Wizard. Right after Install I've got a Kernel Panic, restarted and Voila, everything works like before!

None of those steps are necessary if you simply keep the AppleHDADisabler.kext in the /System/Library/Extensions directory.

NVDANV50Hal.kext, NVDAResman.kext and GeForce.kext are the only kexts needed for your graphics card. What method of graphic injection are you utilizing in your system?  
In my rig, the 10.7.2 update requires no kext roll back of any kind.

Like myself, you are using the Chameleon to inject your graphics. So, it is possible that the display failure that you experienced upon the 10.7.2 update may have been caused by a conflicting kext within your system. Which kexts are you using in your 10.7.2? Also, check your kernel log going back to the point of your first post 10.7.2 update boot up, prior to graphics kexts roll back.
Just an FYI, kext roll backs are undesirable and should be avoided as much as possible.

Rolling back the kext doesn't solve the Problem either. I have to roll those kext back every time before I can boot to a "working" screen.

i had issues injecting from graphicsenabler from older cham 1076 rc5 .. had to inject 8600m in dsdt for lion.

How about this, PM me your e-mail address, and I will share all of my current OS X files via the Dropbox with the interested parties? You will also continue to have access to my Dropbox OS X Folder as long as you wish. I continuously update said folder with the latest OS X developments as their pertain to our systems. As our systems are similar, the files that we require to run our systems optimally are also similar, so why go in circles and second guess where we could simply share? You will also have the write access to my OS X Dropbox folder, I only ask that you prudently utilize that privilege as others depend on those files as well.

I suspect that the video graphics section of your current DSDT.aml is the issue here. Remove it and retain the Chameleon graphics injection or simply use my latest DSDT.aml or the one found at the bottom of the first post of this thread:

im fine so far with enabler after rv11xx or 2.1. but im staying in 10.6.8 mostly, sometimes i fiddle with lion but the wake issue bugs me (maybe low power wake disable?)im going to try older dsdts with pci uid fix for lion

and smbios.plist needs macbookpro6,1 or macbook5,1 with proper identifier id.. and serial
