Umbris
1) Dual G5 2.5, 2,5 GB RAM, Photoshop CS, OsX 10.3.8 > 40 sec 2) P4 3.0 SSE3 HT, 1 GB RAM, Photoshop CS, 10.4.3, (only VESA 3.0) > 2:50 min I guess no QI and CE made the difference. Could't have. i tried it with my setup (listed in my sig) and i got 49 seconds. so it has to do with your processor being an INTEL. lolol currently, my Opteron benches just below an FX-60 (due to it being clocked 50 mhz faster than mine) and i dont have any driver support, no QE or CE and i still get 49 seconds on my rig. I think it's just AMD's are better built for everything =/ not knockin you rig, just sayin that QE and CE have little to nothing to do with it EDIT: Umbris, post some xbench results of your G5 in the xBench thread if you dont mind, please. I think I saw similar configurations as mine with much better results. The only difference was supported graphic card (with QI and QE). But I have to agree with timing, because responsiveness of GUI is terrible. I made some tweaks, changed kernel to original but without any success. G5 xbench result is around 100. I will post it on Monday.

Pimpbot
I get 45 sec on my Dual Xeon 3GHz with 2GB RAM (WinXP SP2) using CS2. Haven't yet installed OS X (I'm a newbie in this regard ;o) looking forward to it... hopefully my good ol' Sapphire Radeon 9600 will be supported with acceleration *sigh* (any one got it to work? ;o) I'm using a 23" Cinema Display for quite some time now so the OS should fit the screen :-D
